Why shouldn't I be able to just use a credit card I have, like in every store? Or transfer the money straight from the bank account? Why should I need paypal, if I will only use it like twice every 10 years?

Lol. The discussion was going on about paypal being the only option for a while here before you showed up (after someone else necro'ed the thread, which I didn't even notice at that moment) and you're not the first one who mentioned the paypal card, but you would know it if you RTFT. I don't deny I intend to get the Elite Membership, but I don't spam, nor do I intend to stop posting after getting it, thank you very much. I literally have no use of paypal, aside from this one purchase and presumably another one in 5 or so years, if I'm happy about buying from evga. Have a good day.

So, an update about PayPal in EU. I've got a response from supporteu at vega com confirming that it's not an issue and a friend or a family member can make the payment for your purchase with their paypal account. Combined with the existing rules, quoted earlier by Flint... Flint 1760
"Billing/Shipping AddressA customer may ship an order to an address different from the billing address, with the exception of PayPal purchases. In order to be able to process the order successfully, however, the billing address must be verifiable through the credit card company, which is explained below in the Address Verification section.
PayPal Purchases:
- Products purchased on the EVGA store using PayPal will be shipped to the address listed on the customer’s PayPal account regardless of the customer’s billing or shipping address listed on the customer’s EVGA account or entered on the checkout page. Due to PayPal’s restrictions, orders must be shipped to the address selected on your PayPal account. If you choose to use PayPal as your method of payment, please make sure that your address is current on your PayPal account. EVGA accepts no liability or responsibility for losses suffered or additional costs due to a package shipped to the wrong address because of a customer’s failure to keep a current address on the customer’s PayPal profile.
...it follows that the product will be shipped to that persons address. At the same time, EU support assured me that they are searching for alternative payment options besides paypal, but as of now they can't announce anything.

Ekhm. This thread has been risen from the dead. It was set up in 2012.
EVGA does accept paypal.
In fact, the EU store accepts only paypal - no credit cards on their own for Europe.
100 posts, I get it, anyone rational will jump these hoops if they can, but at least read the thread people and emote about something actual...

I've had my credit card company decline so many purchases but if I use the Paypal option with the exact same declined card it works perfectly

For me at least, I have quarterly Paypal 5% cashback from my Discover card. It has to be checked out via Paypal using the Discover card. I try to use Paypal as much as possible during that quarter.
