I've run 2 batteries also, lool.. But a basic setup like this won't need anything extreme. Like a high output alt, or battery.

You also might want to try the Violet/Orange wire and see how that works. You might be limited to the radio only, but all you gotta do is hook it up for a second and test it to make sure it stays on when you are not using the radio.

Well, did you get your amp to turn on with the ignition correctly? It's not rocket science. Just guess and check works if you have some spare fuses. j/k. And no you don't want too powerful of a sub system unless you plan on changing your alternator. If your car is running and your subs are making your lights dim, you are starving your combustion of the electricity it needs to burn the fuel cleanly; don't do that. You'll foul out your plugs and your car will run like crap till you clean the carbon out of your engine or atleast off your spark plugs(still need to clean my fouled plugs). The only way to actually fix that is upgrading your alternator. If it's easy to get to, switch that puppy out. "Speakerbox vibratin the tag make it sound like aluminum cans in a bag"

Actually the ignition/fuel system (especially since it's a 92 jeep) only needs about 9v to run. So the voltage dropping from 14v (charging) to 11-12v (dimming headlights) won't effect the running of the vehicle, besides straining the crap out of the alternator. Ever have your alternator die? I've had cars running that you can't even run the stock radio or any other accessory, but the car limped home, purring like a kitten. Then get home and it won't start (obviously) and the battery is at 9v. (fuel injected vehicle) lol

No guys, this is nothing that cool at all. Just a very old 200 watt kenwood amp. It kicked hard in my pick up but I am not one of those chest pounding, license plate rattling guys! Just got home. Grabbin the meter and I'll see what happens!

If you are setting up a aftermarket system make it easier on yourself and get the harness since you already have spent some bucks on the radio/amp/subs/cables and other items whats $20.00 bucks more to do it right and you won't have to splice into your factory wiring and worry about messing something up, this is the harness you need! Metra 70-1002 Car Wire Harness for Jeep/Eagle 1989 - 1996 http://www.frys.com/product/355178?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG $19.99 Fry's has a nice aftermarket audio fit guide just plug in your vehicles info and it give you a list of parts that can be used to install a system. http://shop1.frys.com/template/carkit/index.jsp

You might want to check and see if that amp has a built in cross-over, how many ohms it runs at, if that is rms power, and the ohms the speakers run at. So you can determine if your going to run the subs in parallel or in series, and probably bridged if its 2 or more channels, since its a low wattage and you have 2-12's.

I feel really, really, really stupid. I looked in the wires and sure enough hidden all nicely taped up was the damn white and blue wire..... Meter reads zero off and 12-13.40 volts when on. Hooked it up outside the jeep and got BUMPS!!! Thanks you guys. Took less than 5 minutes, I was just not looking hard enough and making it more complex than it needed to be. Now I got to fish all this wire through...
