anyone else troubled by the evga score modifier? i'm thinking while i def want this board...do i want to blow my score bump on this when the Ti kingpin is coming? maybe it never comes? but i'd much rather have the 3090 Ti than the z690 kingpin. decisions decisions Nereus

Both x16 length slots are 5.0 on the Apex, top is x16 and bottom is x8 (run x8 x8 when both occupied) and comes with a 1x pcie 5.0 M.2 card. Unify-X and Tachyon also have 2 5.0 slots. I imagine it is just a typo on the Dark page and it does support 5.0 but perhaps worthwhile to ask support to verify.

Apparently Raptor Lake will use the same socket, so that may help some prospective buyers pull the trigger on the Z690 Dark KingPin board.

that is good to know. on the EVGA score, doesn't that really only apply to 30xx GPUs? I thought score wasn't considered for mobos, PSUs and peripherals, especially for the elite releases

you have to click "auto notify" and then add your name to the queue. It always says "Out of Stock"...they will release a small batch of boards today for people who signed up for the waitlist earliest today sometime in the next few hours. You have to be an evga elite member to see the "auto notify" button as well.

nah...probably less than a month; if not today the motherboards aren't as hard to queue for as graphics cards, and at this price point, not as many people will signup. There will also be a lot of people who queue just to see how the new evga score system factors in to things.

SO, do we agree that this means a purchase of a Z690 board should *not* impact the queue 3.0 GPU de-prioritization? I really was hoping to grab a Ti kingpin, but if I can't snag one it won't be the end of the world being 40 series should drop later this year
