X20 Mouse Firmware Update Stuck?

Connected the mouse to my PC, immediately said firmware update needed to be done.  Now it's been sitting here for almost 10 minutes. Anyone else with this mouse have this problem?  Safe to unplug it?  Safe to turn it off?  Hmm..   
  
Update: So it finally finished the firmware upgrade, I think, but didn't  give me any confirmation.. the mouse just started working again and the firmware window disappeared.. I never actually saw it complete that loading bar to 100%.  
  
I checked for updates, and no updates were found, so I am assuming it finished.

    I would call customer service....I'd be loathe to unplug it or even say to....might brick the mouse

    So I didn't have the exact same problem, but I got my X20 today and it wouldn't complete its firmware update until I plugged it in via USB with the underside switch in the 2.4G position. (otherwise it would act like the firmware update started but never got anywhere with the green progress bar)

    I can confirm I was able to update the firmware on my X20 with the mouse connected to 2.4ghz.
