celcius Thanks guys, I'll just keep both cards.
Market isn't going to fall out on used prices anytime soon. I kept mine because if I use the Classified tool/bios on my Kingpin, it's no longer under warranty.
Yup. Holding onto a spare in this market is a smart play. >>> 2nd page. Confirmed slow day.

I like to keep a spare, not usually a high end card. I also try to build all of my systems with a gpu in the processor and motherboard that supports it. Fast way to get back in the system and helps with troubleshooting.

I have my zotac extreme 1070 that a bought second-hand as a backup, it was a refurb and it's still a good card. I've a GTX 750ti for Just-in-Case. 😁
I have a non EVGA 3060 I put into my previous build that went to another family member FOC.
My 3070ti FTW3 I got from the queue I wouldn't sell for love or money is sitting pretty in my new build. It's a fab card in case anyone is wondering.
Cheers, BYG.

Having such a new GPU letting collect dust won't sit well with me unless it was an old flagship GPU as backup so seeing how the markets are and caliber of GPU it currently is, I would move towards selling it to recoup most of it back and either save for a backup or buying an older GPU. Another plus, you'd make someone's Xmas too who's been waiting for a GPU upgrade for a long time. At the end of the day, it's your choice. P.S. - Let's go page #3! We're half way there!

Yeah when I managed to get my 3080Ti I made someone extremely happy selling them my 3080....and the price was very reasonable (vs the ebay scalpers) ;) ......then of course the 3080Ti needs to be RMA'd ....figures!

My backup is an EVGA 1080Ti SC Black that I have owned since it was released. It's really a classic when you think about how much it cost in 2017 ($699) and how long it has been relevant... and will be relevant. It cost $60 plus shipping as step up from an EVGA 1080 SC2.

I've had a 980 Ti SC as a backup card for a long time, but a few months ago scored a 2070 Super FTW3 Ultra on B-stock, so that is my new backup. I'll be selling the 980 Ti SC soonish, along with most of the components from a mini-ITX i7-7700K build..

Right!!!!!! Thats exactly whats in my rig while I was waiting for my 3080Ti RMA.......threw my old EK Block on it and I very impressed playing CP77.....the thing peaked out at 301w and 34c ;) They really were / are great cards for what we paid back then! I sold the other one I had about 6 months.....couldnt resist the selling with the "used market" and didnt need 2 anymore.....gave a another Forum member a pretty darn good deal!

I also keep a backup, but my backup is only a 1070Ti. I don't need a backup card that will be top of the line but rather something that will keep my computer working if I had to RMA. On that note it really depends on if you have on board video as an option and if that is good enough for you for two weeks or so in the event that you had to RMA. It might not mean you are gaming but at least the system isn't down.
