I'm having fun playing it so far. All the quests between 100-110 gets old fast, when you have 6 alts to level up.

WoW never kicked off for me. I played it back in 2006 but it didn't phase me at all. I got to level 12 something, and that's it. It was just straight boring.

Nope, a lot of games are a linear narrative, not a circular grind. Only lazy devs resort to grind mechanics.

Blizzard made a new app for World of Warcraft, it's called WoW Legion Companion. Allows you to do the class hall stuff (new garrison) and see what world quest are available. One of the biggest things i don't like is the current weapon artifacts. You can only put artifact power into one weapon, each class spec has it's own weapon. That's going to take a ton of artifact power for each weapon. It will make playing alts a real pain in the butt.

An update to the expansion: World of Warcraft subscriptions surge thanks to amazing Legion expansion
World of Warcraft’s player base has been on a downward trend for years. Granted, in Blizzard’s case, that’s a very relative measure. The 5.5 million subscribers the company reported in November 2015 was a low point that the title hadn’t hit since 2005, but WoW still dwarfs other massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs). When Blizzard announced last year that WoW had fallen to 5.5 million subscribers, it also said it wouldn’t be sharing subscriber information going forward. But a quote from a recent interview with game designer Tom Chilton seems to imply that the company’s figures have leaped skyward once again.
According to an interview in the Polish magazine Pixel, WoW’s subscription figures have surged to 10.1 million in the wake of Legion’s launch, nearly doubling the company’s reliable total. While this still doesn’t bring WoW back up to its glory days, it very nearly does — as the chart below shows, WoW peaked in mid-2010 with 12 million subscribers. Blizzard, however, refuses to confirm or deny this figure, only saying it won’t provide data on subscriptions going forward, and that Chilton did not state a figure of 10.1 million subscribers to Pixel magazine. Whether Chilton intended to speak off-the-record or a language issue caused the problem is unclear. http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/237034-world-of-warcraft-subscriptions-surge-thanks-to-amazing-legion-expansion

If you're having performance issues in the game, check out this post from Blizzard about the new draw distances and settings. It sort of explains why it slows so much on Ultra.

Vanilla was a blast, even burning crusade had charm... after that things got really bad. Once they removed all of the character customization, and therefore all of the branching class tree quests, it just became a horrible rinse and repeat grind. Sad really, they should have left it alone. Hopefully they'll come up with something great, as SCII was a flop in my eyes as well, same with Diablo III. Their new FPS looks like a cash grab and tourney game, but no new content from Blizzard in almost a decade as far as a fully fleshed out franchise with a great story.

Still playing it. Overall, still quite good (I never really comment on this thing until after a month or so as far as negatives/positives). The positives: 1. lots of content to do. Many dungeons, many world quests, pvp, artifact grind, etc. Really, there is an awful lot of material to enjoy. 2. professions mean something again! (humor) 3. story arc is 'okay', but needs a bit more refinement later on. 4. itemization is 'okay'. Seems to be fairly well thought out (albeit over way over simplified for my tastes). 5. zones are terrific. Some of the best they have done. 6. mythic keystones are a good addition in many ways...but there are some drawbacks. 7. dungeons are actually fun again. No more steam roll (aka WotLK style of play). Higher levels do require team coordination (which is good imho). I enjoy them but won't grind them (and you don't have to...which again is a nice plus). 8. class specialization. This xpac really does make you play a spec...and stick to it. Previous xpacs made you feel almost 'bland' so to speak as there was so much overlap between classes. This time around, if you play a Pali...you feel like it's a pali. If you play a hunter, it's a hunter. And so on. The not-so-positives: 1. class balance needs a lot of help (this is not entirely Blizz's fault...see below). 2. artifact grind is too slow considering there are many people who play multiple specs/alts. 3. story arc starts out great, then sort of fades off into obscurity. Sad for those of us who actually don't care about 'get to max level and raid' quickly. Those days are long since gone for me. 4. raiding is still considered 'end game' although you can get equal gear with a solid 5 person group doing Mythic +. Need to make that a bit more well know to those who whine a lot (WoW gamers are, well, an interesting lot :P). 5. economy is out of whack due to the last xpacs mechanics. People simply have a massive amount of gold. Prices are nuts for basic things like trade mats etc. Good for the farmers, not so good for those who have limited time. 6. subjective: I miss flying. I don't mind having it delayed...but really when you are done with the story arc...and have seen all the zones...and spend most of your time in the 'world' simply doing world quests...flying would be very nice to have back. I know...it is a beaten argument (pro and con). But still, it is frustrating not being able to see the content from up top as well. Overall it still is a fun expansion and I am having a good time. My real gripe quite frankly is the player base. They are conditioned to min-max, speed through everything, and whine (A LOT! :P). This causes all sorts of obvious issues. Moreover, they can be a bit on the impatient side (I have a word for these types...I won't repeat it). For example, running a dungeon as a healer...one particular character was being somewhat impatient with the tank (who said it was his first time tanking in quite some time). Instead of just having fun with it, this special sunflower decides he will hasten the process by pulling more and more packs to 'go faster, you noobs'. Unfun for all involved except for that nitwit. Spoiled brats if you ask me. The loot grind is somewhat diminished. Still there, but with the addition of artifacts it has taken a bit of turn (can't say if it is good or bad yet...still a work in progress). Still have quite a bit to explore so can't go much further into it than this. I agree with Cneuhauser in some ways...I do miss the character customization. However, it isn't like people had wildly varying builds in vanilla for high end content. Was fairly cookie cutter anyway. I just miss being able to put points into a skill tree. Even if they were relatively meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Face it, you raided in one spec...pvp in another. The new talent choices are relatively simple and benign and there is not much variety really (it was the same before, just had an illusion of 'choice'). How many wand specced priests were there, really? ;>) Keep in mind simply my opinion thus far. Your mileage may vary.
