Yeah I have the exact same question. I was stress testing my board yesterday and turns out they gave me a bad SLI bridge right out of the box. It would be sick if I could replace it with this one.

It was probably answered thousand of times  , but do I need a 3 way SLI hard bridge, when my cards are in slot Pcie 1 and 3? The middle connector will be obviously unconnected... I'm too lazy to search for it ...

no the soft bridge will reach. I use the hard version on my 1 and 3 because it looks better than that cheap looking soft one. The hard version works fine for 1 and 3

now now limiting them to titans or 780s is just wrong as they are for any GPU in SLI.Maybe a first come by registered EVGA products but then that wouldn't solve much as even i have 6+ cards already.

Let's be honest - we all know EVGA. They'll keep everyone waiting and spamming refresh to get one, and then "run out of stock" minutes later and create crazed demand for them and will take an "unknown" amount of time to get them back in stock. It's all part of the game.
