Might be a stupid question, but I was wondering since the Z77 FTW is an EATX will it fit my 550D?

What Vlada said.  People have been able to fit MBs that are 12" x 10.375" but normally the 6GB SATA connection/s is/are blocked since the motherboard tray is recessed.

    CPU - i5 2500k @ 4.6Ghz | CPU Cooler - Corsair H100 Push/Pull | Motherboard - ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-Z
    GPU - 2xEVGA GTX 670 FTW SLI | RAM - Corsair Vengeance 16GB 1600Mhz | SSD - Corsair 240GB Force GT
    HDD - 2x1TB WD Black and 2TB WD Green | PSU - Corsair AX760 | Case - Corsair 800D | Monitor - ASUS PB278Q

This is FTW in Obsidian 650D and Graphite 600T.

Perfect for sleeve 24 pin cables and avoid bending SATA cables
But in 550D I afraid corner of board touch motherboard tray and not fit.

I've seen pictures of previous FTW and Maximus Extreme boards fit in it, but the tip of the motherboard does indeed touch the case.  The owner of the picture I saw said he wasn't concerned about it, but to each his own.

It's better to just get a 600T or 650D if you're wanting a larger motherboard and are dead set on a Corsair air case.

EVGA Z77 FTW will not fit in Obsidian 550D, same as Maximus 5 Formula, Z68 FTW, P67 FTW, Maximus 5 Extreme, Rampage III Extreme, Rapmage 4 Extreme, X79 FTW,...
Maybe if you find 3cm spacers but I'm not sure and than...
1cm different case and it will fit.

Buy Obsidian 650D it's better two times than 550D and 500R.
You can install everything inside except XL-ATX.
