Looks pretty close to me =p Also at 2560x1440 FPS Ultra Far Cry: Titan = $1020 / 60.2 = $16.94 per Frame R9 290X = $570 / 59.4 = $9.59 per Frame that .8 FPS is costing you almost twice as much per frame =p I love Nvidia always been a fan boi always will be, but I'm also smart and the math does not lie.

@Sean: I was looking at a few of those today too but color uniformity is a concern and the ASUS I saw had poor vertical uniformity based on a review. I'd probably want a 27 inch monitor too. How's the BENQ and price?

Yeah the Asus 248Q lost to the BenQ 2420TE. The BenQ has more cutting edge technology and won't make you nauseated after a hour of gaming The BenQ 2420TE won Best 144hz gaming monitor of 2013.

I didn't get much, But I'd like to mention.. Santa got the kids a basketball court and my sister told her ex-bf (baby daddy) about it incase he was thinking about it... So he told them exactly what their mom had gotten them before they went home, (They were at his house for christmas) and told them santa wasn't real. I hate this dude right now... He ruined his own kids present christmas/future christmases...

I realize Christmas is technically over, but how about we ease off the hardware and tech debates in this thread? Oh, and ease off the arguing for sake of arguing, as well. Plenty of other threads to take that to. I'm not directing that at any one person or group in particular, but let's just try to keep this thread on-topic, please. Thanks.

Anytime bud, the BenQ is a little more $$ than the Asus 248Q, but it should be, due to all the extra features it has, I paid 269.00 for mine pre-black Friday.

I was looking at the BenQ website yesterday and before that, didn't really think much of the BenQ brand at the time. They're pretty impressive and I would consider them as my next monitor. $269 is a bargain too.

I'm pretty happy with it, it took a few minutes to calibrate the colors, as their pre-set profiles 1-2-3 were terrible. The Lightboost is one of a kind, and nobody else has it

I want the XL2720Z. The cheapest I could find is $499. I'm going to email one of my vendors to see what my dealer's cost is. I saw the lengthy list of special features.
How clear is the panel uniformity? I think anything is better than the poor uniformity on my current Samsung 24 inch 2433BW.
