For my Mrs' birthday - Samsung Galaxy Book Pro - 15.6", i7-1165G7, Xe Iris graphics, and only just a little over 2lb! Nice little machine to replace her 6+ year old Lenovo LaVie Z.

I used the logi 502 before switching to Corsair Dark Core --> much better quality

Shopping for a monitor. I don't console game, but, feel we are right at the point of almost every new decent monitor having HDMI 2.1, so I think I just want to wait. I using a 5-6 yr old LG 27" FHD, TN, 60HZ. Finally got a 3060TI for the time being, and just want to see what it would be at 1440P, 144 HZ. Looking at the Dell S2721DGF about $330 after taxes, rebates. Right now they have good deal on the Samsung G7 on their website. $150 off the 27" and $200" off 32". Add education discount for about another $100 off, and Honey is giving $100 back. 27" gets to like $375 and 32" gets to about $470. Just can't pull the trigger thinking about HDMI 2.1 and potential for 4K. Should I just do it and get what's available now under $500?

Man, feeling old yet? That's my usual "what I bought today" or maybe "picked up a prescription"  I didn't buy it exactly but I bartered to get an MSI Ventus 1660 Super XS OC. I feel like it's a nice little 1080p card and good holdover until I get my 3050.

I was in the same boat in the fall. I love the idea of 4k but knowing I don't really have the hardware to push it properly and knowing that 27" is really the best size for my viewing distance - I settled on 1440p, since at 27 you really don't benefit too much from a 4k res (I've been told). I looked at LG UltraGear VA's and some Samsung and Dell IPS panels and I considered ergonomics and interface and settled on the Gigabyte M27Q.
