Hello all.  Just picked up the card last week and It's awesome. However today I ran into a issue(I think).  Today I heard the pump make a winding type noise as if it was dying(no idea, just guessing). Also,  I do not recall ever seeing my Memory and power temps going above 50c.  Now I am seeing memory and power temps hitting 65c while GPU temps are hitting 50c(usually it would hover around 48c). I noticed this today because the LED's have never changed from blue and now they are green..  I called tech support and that don't think it's an issue but I think this might be the beginning of a problem.  What are your temps looking like?

**It seems my PC just needed a dancing partner.  I unplugged everything and flipped her around a couple times and now my temps are back to normal.  Air bubbles.

Your temps are going to be dependent on your case and fan arrangement. Comparing your results to reviews where they are using open air test benches are unrealistic unless you also have a similar setup.

Having said that if you are hearing a winding or grinding type noise from your card that's definitely not normal. The pump does indeed have an audible "hum" to it while it's running but I would not describe it as a winding noise at all. How is your card and radiator positioned? For best results you want the radiator above the card to ensure that the pump is always submerged and free of bubbles.

I never said anything about open air test benches.  Most users use a  regular case like the rest of us.  I'm trying to see what others temps are because if they are not going above 60c then there is probably something wrong with my GPU cooling system basically. If they are then all is well and that noise I heard was nothing.

It's not making a noise now but it did in the middle of gaming which is what made me look into everything.

    Hello again, bud :)
Is that in an enclosed case?  What program are you using to max the GPU?  Those temps seem really low for %100 usage.

I am not familiar with Aida64. I know it's a system monitoring tool but does it also have something enabled to have your GPU being utilized at 100%?  I want to use the same program you are using to check out my temps. Thanks again, bud.

No need to be so defensive as I wasn't accusing you of anything, just giving you some information.

My card will hit 60C while stress testing. I also live in Florida and my case is on the smaller side.

I did the same with my rigs, I rotate them around ending up with the Tubes on the Bottom and Pump on the Bottom for about 30 minutes and then set them how you see it now in my rig. (I do this with the Computer Powered on)
My rigs is a little high on the front right or a small tilt that is.
This was a nice deal at the time, and it comes and goes.

Yep, I bought the same package. I had a couple hiccups at first but everything is solid and I'll be gaming on this for quite some time. The only complaint I have is we can't set a fan curve for the radiator with the default setup. I'll live :)

Interesting setup and toys there bcvanaugh!

I've had the same case for a few years! Upgraded to there newer tower case now and I am building my son a rig in that case now with a new evga ftw3 hybrid I bought weeks ago.

Going to install the cooler the same way I believe.. though I have a 120.2 rad mounted in the front blowing in.

Sucks you can't turn that case around to see the better side of the gpu.

At one time I had 2 1080 ftw hybrids mounted in the top.. till I had to return them cause of the 100% fan black screen issue.. went with 2 1080 classifieds and so blocks after that.

Nice programs and fan controllers.. might check those out.

    Thanks,
For my really Big Rigs I am using the Thermaltake CORE W200 and W100 Case.
But are really more for Full Custom Water Loops.

Yeah those w100 and 200 cases are really massive.

I bought the w100 locally at microcenter and ended up returning it after building the frame. I had an idea of laying it on it's side for a horizontal mb layout and it was just way too deep for my desk. :/

First case I ever returned hehe.

Yeah the core x9 can be cramped after getting the rads in. That's what's nice about my new rhermaltake tower as that the rads are in the backside out of the way and hidden.

Odd that the Stress System Memory worked on your computer as it will not on mine.
I have 32GB installed I should remove all but one and retest to see if I can get it to run.
