Was going to buy a supernova t2 850w, out of stock right now, but i noticed even the top end power supplies from evga only offer 8pin (6+2) connectors. Personally i dont like the look of the 6+2's even when there connected. I also noticed 8pin to 8pin connectors are not included in the sleeved cable kits that are offered for the t2's. I have bought extender's to convert the 6+2 to an 8 pin, but i know the fact that the sleeved cables wont exactly color match will drive my ocd nuts. Any chance evga will be releasing 8 pin to 8 pin cables?

    Huh...?

Don't the 6+2 actually look the same as an 8 pin connector when connected?

The only visible difference (and that's when looking up close) is a tiny bit of plastic "latch" on the connector head itself, and maybe a slightly wider clip.

Are you confusing 6+2 with piggybacked cables?

    from left to right:
    6+2 pressed together
    6+2 spaced
    6+2 spaced with a piggybacked 6 (aka, 8+6)

6 with piggybacked 2 (6 to 8 or 6 to 6+2) might come with PSUs, but not the "top tier" PSUs from Corsair and EVGA that I've gotten.

yup. i know, im ocd. i also dont like the feel of plugging in a 6+2, its just not the same as plugging in a solid single connector. i bought the cablemod extension kit for this sole reason.

i can still use these, no problem, i was just hoping i wouldn't have too
