When should you expect the EVGA page to show that they have received your card after the postal service says delivered?

According To some people, the new card should be shipped out on the same day the old card is received, finger crossed

Incredibly impressed, sent my card for Step Up from Canada yesterday with FedEx Priority, it was received by EVGA at 3pm today, my new RTX 3080 is already in transit, should be received tomorrow.

Lucky... I shipped from Toronto area via UPS worldwide expedited with insurance and signature required ($170) and I don't think anyone there received it, or the package was rejected because I didn't pack it the way they wanted (a box that has 2" space all around the original packaging). I've received several "delivery exception" email notices. Something ain't right.

That doesn't sound right. I didnt pack mine with the 2 inch packing material and they still took mine. Try to get in contact with customer service from UPS cause the 2 inch material wasnt a requirement, it was a suggestion. The only requirement was shipping the card, and the card fully working.

Dropped my 2070s off at USPS this morning. From Maine -> California 2 day priority and $800 insurance it was $43.04. It’s supposed to arrive there on Monday.

Damn, I was going from Ohio to California, insured it for $800, and did normal priority 3-5 day shipping and USPS quoted me $80. I went with FedEx which was cheaper, but lucky you lol

I sent my card yesterday from Montréal with Canada Post World Priority (using Fedex in US), it was 121$ CAD including taxes, plus insurance.

This is unreal. The cards were released on Sept 17th and we are not past 11am from the 17th for step up?

Jesus. Really. I put my card in on the 21st. At this rate it'll be October of 21 before I see my card. Ah well, first world problems.

I did with UPS it was about $20. Thank god because I was having troubles. I got like 3 emails saying "Exception Reported for your Shipment. The carrier reported an exception for shipment to EVGA RMA DEPT..."

Hopefully EVGA will be a linnet on RMA times with Thanksgiving being this week.  Won't be able to get mine shipped until Monday.

Clearly the step up queue isn't their priority. People in the notify queue to get cards are getting them much quicker than step up. From a business point it makes sense, they already have your money they are not really incentivized to take back your card and give you a new one. Then they have to resell your old card and inventory it in the mean time. EVGA is the only company to offer anything like this so they set their own standards. This isn't as much an Nvidia delay as it is EVGA clearly prioritizing new sales.

I really wish they would combine the two. They could knock out so many more orders this way.

For example I'm in the queue for 9/18 and step up for 9/24.

I will of course get the notify email well before my step up comes due. However I just want one card so why not say, hey we noticed you're also in the step up program would you like to apply this to this card? I would pay in full for a card to be shipped out ASAP plus the step up cost difference and ship my card back once the new card got here. It's not rocket science and would knock out a ton of orders period very disappointed in how they're handling this

Remember that a huge bulk of step ups are going to be from the first couple hours. As supply ramps up and we get past the first couple hours we'll see the queue start to move quite a bit more quickly. I put my 2080 on the 26th so I'm expecting Feb. I did already buy a couple 3080s in the queue for me and a friend and now my step up is going to my brother. Keep your chin up.

Did you receive your 3080 in a retail box or was it packed in some random brown box with bubble wrap?

Retail box with that black EVGA foam in it.  And the retail box was in a standard brown box for shipping, of course.  No bubble wrap between the retail box and the shipping box.  I didn't take that chance when I shipped my 2070 back.  I wrapped the 2070 retail box in bubble wrap and stuck that in a larger box.  I wanted to make sure they had zero reasons to reject it.

Awesome thanks for the quick reply. I saw some horror stories of people being shipped loose cards in badly wrapped boxes, one of them came with a bent io bracket. Glad to see that is not an ongoing thing. I highly doubt my card would survive the trip from California to Canada in a badly wrapped box.

Much relief.

Have you heard that of the Step Up replacements?  I can see that happening with a warranty replacement.  I think it would be very odd if that happened to someone with a Step Up replacement.
