Got a noob question. It's my first time doing the step up program. Was I supposed to get a step 2 email or was the successful invoice upload my step 2? These are the last two emails from EVGA i've gotten on the step up process from October 14th.

These are the last two emails from EVGA i've gotten on the step up process from October 14th.
Step 2 is when EVGA reviews your invoice after you have completed the queue process. Before moving to step 3 which is verification of your invoice and request of payment.

Received my 3080 last night, both ends have a black bezel instead of the Red. Just wanted to mention it because someone had received a red recently.
Thanks for this info. I assumed that by this point they would have made it past the red bezels from launch, but that confirms it. I'm waiting on the FTW3 - exciting to see the light at the end of the wait tunnel.

USPS said it was delivering my card today, then first thing this morning they said it's "en route, arriving late, with no change in date.
Fingers crossed it's delivered today, maybe even received, but im thinking that will come tomorrow

When did you submit your step up? I'm just curious as I'm also waiting for my step 2 as I got my step 1 on September 22nd a few hours after I applied. And support just tells me I need to wait but I just want to know a guesstimate on were I am in the queue.

Probably closer to February. Most people aren't taking into account that a very large majority of cards were registered right as the window opened up. I think evga said they received thousands of step ups the first day. Stock will hopefully continue to normalize and we'll probably start to see the queue move in hours instead of minutes next month if all goes well.

So I called them and since their phone lines are full, the automated robot told me they'd be calling back in an hour. That was 2 whole hours ago. USPS is SERIOUSLY underfunded and understaffed. I feel bad for them as a whole. If this was UPS or FedEx I'd be livid since they're a private company, but the Postal Service is a government run entity and an essential part of a functional society so all I can blame is the people above for not giving them enough resources. EDIT: For all of y'all who are gonna be shipping your cards in the future reading right now, please try and ship on UPS or FedEx if you want your card in a timely fashion. ESPECIALLY if you're shipping from the East Coast, since it's gonna be shipped all the way to California. I've read about others having more issues with them right now compared to the other shipping companies, so if you have money to spare, go with the other companies.

Not that it changes anything, but USPS is not government funded. It's required to exist by our government, but it a self funded agency. They don't get money from taxes at all.

I just did a RMA and shipped my RTX2080super from NY to CA with 500$ insurance for 26$ and change using UPS. I think they are cheaper than USPS. Normally takes 7 days to and from EVGA with UPS ground shipping. Still waiting for my #2 email for the step-up, Sept 25th 10PM Eastern time if I remember right.
Life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife

Shipped my card back to EVGA on the 7th via UPS, they quoted me as arriving on the 11th for cheapest ground shipping.
My card reached EVGA on the 9th (go UPS) and they turned right around and shipped my new 3080 FTW3 Ultra out later in the evening. Zero delay EVGA are rock stars.
As of writing this my card has left Brea the morning of the 10th slated to be here tomorrow the 11th, the original day EVGA was supposed to GET my card lol.
RNG gods were lenient this time around for me 👍

Ship it UPS and insure it for full retail and sit back with peace of mind.

Shipped my card out via UPS today, and man was that expensive. $800 DV + UPS Ground ran me $92. Not expected to get there until 12/16.

You realize FedEx and UPS aren't doing any better, right? It's Christmas time and people are doing ALL of their shopping from home. Remember Black Friday/cyber monday when they stopped taking packages from certain retailers so they could ship packages that didn't belong to Macy's, Gap, Nike, L.L. Bean etc? They're under an unprecedented load.
