I got onto the step up list, step 1, on 08/09/2021. I am considering getting onto the 3080 Ti list instead because I assume it would be quicker and I don't mind the jump in price. Does anyone have any insight or recommendations on doing so? Thanks!

Tried clearing cache/cookies, different browser, and on my phone. Still the same problem. Just want to make sure I get this fixed before step 3 comes. Just tried logging into my EVGA account to look at my step up after getting my step 2 email and get error code LB404V. Anyone else having this problem? Tried clearing cache/cookies, different browser, and on my phone. Still the same problem.
Just want to make sure I get this fixed before step 3 comes.
EDIT: Looks like it only happens when I try to go to the My Products section.
yes, i have seen this error code multiple times throughout the EVGA website. i just continue to refresh the page and it eventually works. I am also stuck on step 2 and hoping they process all the step 3s today. Good luck!

I'm jealous of all of you. I don't even have a lower level card to stepup.
Honestly. I bought a new card just to step up. ☺️ I didn’t wanna pay a hefty second price so I found the MSRP listed price up front and now I have a balance of about 400. Haha I wanted to pay more for the 2060 up front since I knew I was gonna step up to the 3080.
I'm considering doing that. I might be able to get a 1660 super in a package. Will just use that to step up. It does look like a really long wait no matter what path I take

EVGA only credits you the MSRP of the card you are stepping up from. Anything you paid over the MSRP is not credited and is your loss. Please check the rules and there are other threads here in the step up. I lost 50 bucks because I paid a little over MSRP when I stepped up to my new card.

For anyone asking about UPS rates: Shipped mine ground from the southeast. Dropped it off Friday afternoon. Estimated delivery is Wednesday. Paid for $1000 insurance and my box was probably 20"x20"x20". Cost me $68.

Anyone considering entering step-up now should probably wait a month or two before buying a card to gain step-up access. NVIDIA historically announces new GPU around September. I'm not sure what the grace period is on buying a card for step-up, I think it's 3months prior to the release date (or step-up release date) of the card. I haven't been checking rumors, but a SUPER refresh is probably on its way from NVIDIA sometime soonish. Maybe they will try to make the TI last another year, but I doubt it. I'm sure there is a lot of info. they learned from being their first time on Samsung 8nm and they want to do a refresh at the very least to improve upon their yields.
If I was in the market for a GPU today, I would wait until Oct. for announcements before purchasing tbh. Depends how much you are going through AAA gaming withdrawals

Yep! You have to settle at some point. The market is still in shortage. I’d wait for the release date (which probably won’t be until 2022 anyways. Unless you’re just hoping for a super. Which yeah they’re better but you can’t ever go wrong with the base xx80 series. They last a Long time. Easily 4 years. That’s been my life of an xx80 series. But to each his own. 😜

It’s useful. Just be prepared to wait. You will have to wait for a 4080 also. Everything. Even in the coming year it’s not speeding up yet…. Ya know? I think you’ll have to be content with something until production gets back on track. Which still might be a year or two away.

Step-up program started, 8-29-2021. My 10 months wait begins to send my 3070 Ti, but most likely will get a 3080 ftw3 Ultra from Newegg shuffle or EVGA auto-notify elite before this step-up happens (I'm assuming). Possibly. But you only have 90 days and the 4000 series won’t be until 2022 October or so….I’m guessing a chip shortage is going to be around a while longer

Geeze I'm like one of the last waiting for his 3080 step up(close but not close enough in the list)...
I should've just purchased the 3080 when I got the notification 2 weeks ago from the regular queue. SMH
And these LHR cards didn't improve stock at all.
