G'day folks

I've had my new PC only a couple of days, and noticed on booting that Eleet shows my ram as only being dual channel.
Specs and screenshot are below, and any advice would be hugely appreciated.
Mobo: eVGA X58 FTW3
CPU: Core i7 960 @ 3.33GHZ
Ram: Corsair 6GB 1600MHZ Kit XMS3 Triple channel kit
.

Jeff :)

What slots are you using and have you set the timings manually?

Does CPU-Z show the same information? And what is the model of the sticks? Have you tried each stick individually or run memtest?

First see if you can boot with each stick, in each dimm, individually. If you can pop them all in and run memtest (memtest.org) for 1-2 hours. Its a weird issue since your Dram frequency is running as if its in triple channel.

I tried re-installing each stick separately, but i'll give memtest a shot and see what we show up :) Could be just a software bug too possibly?
I thought it was kind of weird too. It's running beautifully though LOL

have you OC'ed your pc? I noticed its a setting in the BIOS that makes it only see 4 GB out of 6GB (in my case).  Its not the RAM. There are other guys on here with the same issue. I wish I knew what setting it was....any ideas?

Just an update to this post. The issue turned out to be a dead stick of ram, which has now been replaced and fixed this issue, along with now showing and using all 6GB, as against the 3.99 usable before.

jeff, if you don't mind , go back to your original post, and under message option select edit, under title add , "( Solved )". this will let people know your issue has been resolved before reading through the entire post.
