daro91 Will the 980 Ti Cooler work for the Titan X card? Is it the same cooler or what?
If you get the EVGA conversion kit for the 980Ti, it will work on the Titan Xs. Only the shroud is different. I converted my Titan Xs and my temps fell from 66C to 44C under full load. The noise level also fell dramatically. You can see the final version in my aviator pic to the left.
i can second this, i bought a 980ti kit for my 980 and then signed up for the new shroud, so it doesnt really matter also, zalster, do you have a better pic, i would love to see what quad hybrid sli looks like

I can say 2 of my 980Ti have lower ASIC numbers than the other 2 but the difference in temp under full load is only about 1-2C.

Has anyone replaced the stock fan on their 980 Ti Hybrid cards and if so, what difference have you seen for idle and load temps? I was thinking of running 1 or 2 (push-pull) of the Scythe AP-14 or AP-15 fans.

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and also a total noob regarding watercooling. I have kind of a weird sounding question: Is it possible to convert an EVGA Titan X Hybrid into a Titan X Hydro Copper?? Why?? Because I am a noob, I recently bought a Titan X Hybrid and installed it in the required way. Nevertheless the pump is clearly audible with a very annoying humming/buzzing sound. But I'm very pleased by the temperatures I got in game. Never over 55°C with the gpu running at 1316MHz and the stock radiatorfan plus another 120mm fan running at 5V in push-pull-configuration, fan on the card in 1026 rpm all the time. Pump runs all the time (idle or load) 100%. So far everything is fine. But that noise..... may be a bad pump unit, but perhaps it is the normal sound. Now I know, how a pump can transfer sound, if it isn't decoupled from the case/Mainboard. Even the hoses are vibrating slightly. So I'm thinking of building a custom watercooling system in the future, with the parts I have, but with a properly decoupled and dampened pump. The facts I read in this forum were the following ones: - There's no pcb design except the reference design, looking at Titan X Graphics Cards, so the TX Hybrid also has a reference pcb design and all waterblocks built for TX should fit, also the EVGA Hydro Copper waterblock.
- The Backplate of the TX Hybrid looks exactly the same as the Backplate of the TX Hydro Copper, so it should be the same and can be used in the converting process
So imho it should be no problem to convert the TX Hybrid into a TX Hydro Copper by disassembling the Hybrid-Cooler and shroud from the pcb and mounting the Hydro Copper waterblock using the backplate of the Hybrid. It should fit properly. Is that right or is there any problem?? I would be very glad, if you could answer my questions. I'm curious about your answers. Greetings from Europe Dieter

@pixellpapst You can replace the Hybrid components. Somewhat surprised you bought it if you where going to water cool the rig so soon. No matter. You can purchase any of the Titan X waterblocks from various manufacturers it does not have to be an EVGA block. Have a look on http://www.performance-pcs.com/water-blocks-gpu/shopby/vga-series--titan-x-gtx-980-ti/ Ive installed my Hybrid on a TITAN X and running on 3 x 3D 1080p monitors (with spanning) and using the 3D Vision the temps are around 62 - 63C compared to 87C

The Titan X coolers are back in stock from EVGA. Just ordered one. I am currently running a custom fan curve using Afterburner for my stock air cooler. Should I revert back to the stock fan profile before I install the hybrid cooler? Thanks.

Hey guys, quick question. Where is the pump located? It seems to me the radiator should not be able to fit a pump, but wanted to be sure. Thanks!

Thank you for the confirmation!!! I was hearing a noise and now I know that it is the fan. I would like to replace but cannot find any information on the specs for the included EVGA fan. Any idea what rpm of the replacement ideally should be?

Planning on installing EVGA Hybrid Coolers onto my 2 Titan X's tomorrow. They will be going into my Corsair 540 case. What would be the optimal setup? I've got an H100i at the top with exhaust fans. Thoughts?

So I swapped the fan out. Turned out the fan was the culprit that was making the buzzing noise. I chose the EKWB Vardar F2 (1450RPM - PWM) fan. I installed just one pulling from the outside in through the front and my temps are below 50C using unigine heaven benchmark. In hind sight, I would install a fan with up to 2200 RPMs (as you mentioned). But, it works for me.

I noticed that there is a fan splitter inside the shroud. I'm planning on running a push-pull configuration with the fans for the radiator. Will there be any issues if I added a fan splitter to that part?

Have a couple questions regarding installation of these coolers and availability: 1) Need to get two Hybrid coolers for my Titan Xs, but I see they are out of stock. I see there is a new shroud that just came out, but isn't available for purchase. Any eta on when the new coolers with the new shrouds will be available and/or the shroud separately? I know exact dates probably aren't available, but maybe notice if they'll be available before the end of the year? 2) For those that have the Hybrid coolers: A) Any idea what the heat is like coming from the radiators? I ask because the Titan Xs run hot as you probably know and right now it's like central heating behind my case where the blower exhaust comes out. Is there much reduction in the amount of heat thanks in part to the split between the blower fan, the cooler, and the fact that the radiator has a 120mm fan with direct cool air blowing on it from outside (as opposed to a stock card sucking in warmer air from inside the case)? B) What's the best practice as far as monitoring and regulating the fans on the radiators? I intend to put them at the front of my case as intakes and then either pushing or pulling through the radiator. I also intend to use Noctua NF-F12 PWM fans on the radiators and plug those into the motherboard. I could use Asus Fan Xpert for the radiator fans since it's an Asus motherboard, or Corsair Link since I will also be installing a H110i GTX. Any experience/recommendations in this area? What temperature should the fan speeds of the radiators go off of- normally it's the CPU, but I am more concerned with the GPU temps (since with air as I have it now, they get the hottest by far- maybe the situation will be different with the hybrids installed)? Maybe the PCH since it's right next to the cards- but, I haven't really monitored if it's temp rises in accordance to the card temp? C) How about the blower fan? Since the radiator fans are separated, would something like EVGA Precision X/MSI Afterburner be the only way to control the blower? What type of fan percentage are you guys needing on the blower fan with the Hybrid in stalled? Is there minimal heat that exhausts out the back of the case?

My question is a bit silly but I was wondering whether the fan on the shroud would have any effect on the temperatures. Would there be any point in setting up a fan curve through precision or should we just keep the fan speed at a minimum?

Do you mean that the fan on the graphics card itself is running at max speed and you can't lower it? Is it all the time or only when you are playing games? I installed an EVGA Hybrid cooler on my Titan X and everything worked great for a day. The next day the fan on the card was running at full speed and it won't spin down anymore.

What brand is your Titan X? I believe the EVGA Hybrid causes issues with certain cards. I've tried everything possible and the issue persists. I will now either have to sell my Titan X for cheap or try and RMA it. I lost the receipt so that might not be possible.....

I'm going to call EVGA and see if anything can be done but I have my doubts. They'll probably chalk it up as my Titan X being defective even though I had no issues before installing the Hybrid kit. I've already tried swapping using a new Hybrid kit which of course includes a new pump, checked all the wiring, switched PCI-E slots, reinstalled Windows 10, ran everything at stock speeds, drained my PC of power, reset CMOS, and I've even swapped the PCB heatsink + blower fan on my working Titan X Hybrid to my PNY Titan X and the problem persists! We're not the only people with this problem because I've read user reviews online that have mentioned it. Not many but they are out there
