Well this last Christmas Santa finally got around to bringing me my dream case, the coveted Silverstone TJ07. Here is my son acting out my excitement and a few of the unveiling... So just like any other pc entusiast does when they get a brand new part, I disasseble the hole thing to see what it's all about. I've heard stories and read posts in regards to the quality of this case but I'll tell ya what, this thing is amazingly well built, I have yet to find a flaw in the hole thing and the design is perfect in my opinion. Everything I wished that my other cases had this has or exceeds, not much more you can ask for. So I have obviously been taking my time with this (post date 5.8.2011) but I of course want my design to be as badass as the case is so time keeps ticking by. Luckily work and family have alloted me to really start forging ahead with my designs and have enough pics to finally share it here. But first here is a parts list that is current up until today, we all know how this changes but for the most part this will be the guts. Core Components Intel i7 970 EVGA Classified 760 Dual EVGA GTX570SC's Corsair Ram 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24 right now but hoping for some 2000Mhz CAS8 in the future Corsair 1000HX PSU Silverstone TJ07 Cooling EK Supreme HF All Nickel CPU Block Dual Aqua Computer aquagraFX 570 Nickel GPU Blocks Bitspower Black Freezer POM + Chipset MB Blocks Dual Swiftech MCP355 Pumps EK DDC Dual Top V2 in White Acetal Bitspower Z-Multi 400ML Tube Meshed with parts from a Bitspower Water Tank Z-Multi 403 Feser 480 X Changer Rad Feser 120 X Changer Rad Bitspower Fittings along with two EK Compression fittings for the GPU Blocks (width limited to less than a BP Comp Fitting) Storage Quad OCZ Vertex 30GB SSD's Raid0 Highpoint 3510 Dedicated RAID Card Western Digital 2TB Green Raid1 Original Goals for this build - First and foremost will be a repainting of the entire case. I'm leaning toward white exterior shell with most of the internal brackets being black. I want to most likely use powder coating for durability sake. I also plan to bondo out the front io lights, power button, and make a front panel similar to the murdermods front panel of the case most likely from aluminum. I might keep the stock location of the power button but not sure as of yet. Well see..
- Well I've always wanted a inverted ATX build so this is going to that. It looks like I'm going to be able to make the stock back panel (IO Plate with dual 80mm fans work even inverted. I initaily ruled this out after moving all the parts around but luckily found out by accident that this in fact CAN work instead of buying an overseas alternative which sadly are unavailable during this build (murdermods and chiller PC). Wish I had access to a CNC machine which would make this whole build WAY easier but sadly that's not the case. Turns out the only thing I will need to fabricate is a new mb tray runner to raise the original runner up a bit from the mid plate. I like this look much better since it minimizes the spacing of the motherboard from the top of the case which original (regular ATX) was too much for me.
- I also developed the idea of using one giant 400ml Resovioir for this build since the height of it coupled with the pump top and rad stand just cleared the available space in the TJ07. I plan to have this go through the midplate from the bottom chamber which I think will look sweet, well see!
- Lighting everywhere that I can! I plan to light the midplate either white or blue which will eventually be made from some acrylic along with a vertical panel which will be just left of the motherboard rising up from the bottom to the top of the case. This panels width will be from the MB to the front mounting brackets of the 5 1/4" drives.
- I would like to also close off the 5 1/4" drive bays but haven't quite came up with a final decision on what to due as of yet. I did however mod the original HDD tray that went in the bottom of the stock case, tipped it sidways with the 120mm fan on top and mounted that in the cage in the front. I don't have a pic but I will take one and post it below soon.
Ok, first things first here, Rad stands for the two Feser's down in the bottom. I initially bought a 480 rad stand off of OCN but quickly ruled this out due to the weight of it for one (like 3 pounds or so, damn) and the airflow blockage that it created. On a whim I ordered the XSPC rad stands which are two separate stands that you can use for ANY rad size since you can space them as far apart as needed. PERFECT and man what a find! I decided to order another for the 480 as well. It turns out that the optimum height to raise the rad from the base of the case was about 3/4". So with this in mind I came up with the idea of lighting some plexiglass which serves as the base and some metal rails that this all would rest on. I cut and sanded them down to fit each of the components I'm placing below. Here is the metal runner bases for the stands cut to length Here is the initial layout of all the components down below this is the space that remains from the top of the case to the res... PHEW, just made it ;) I decided to have the mounting of these rads go down into the base of the case rather than bottom of the case to the rad stand. Here is the holes I drilled and tapped on the bottom of the case. I decided to cut off the feet from the MCP pumps for cosmetic reasons, I plan to paint them as well Plumbing gets way tricky down here and I've came up with two solutions of of yet. The issue here is the 480's output to the system I would prefer to be on the top since the airflow would be better since the majority of the tubing wouldn't block it (if it was on the bottom of the case) option 1 - I do like the look of this first implementation but limits the 480 output hose to be on bottom. option 2 - Not sure but this might be the one I choose. Otherwise fittings are getting expensive at $15+ and you need three per fit Bought some 5mm Super Bright Blue LED's which I connected in parallel with a 2A 47Ohm resistor. I included a quick disconnect terminal for each panel and used front IO connectors for to wire the system. I plan to have a switch for these in the front IO panel of the case with the drop down door or inside, not sure yet. I think I might just need two front USB headers and then custom switches instead of using the stock front IO options that came with the case. I never use anything other than front panel USB anyways. I was really blown away with how well only two lights per panel lit up the room. These thing really put out some light and it spreads evenly across each panel. I actually ended up using three led's for the 480 stand but two for each of the others. Here is some images I captured of the lighting. Here are a couple of shots of how its looking as of 5/8/2011
More to come...Stay tuned and thanks for checking out the Progress!

Thank you all that posted and what an overwhelming positive response! Thank you for all the kind words and I will keep crankin' away on this badboy updating you all as much as possible along the way. Halo_003 Looks amazing. I think though for the tubing of the second rad I would use the first option, looks cleaner, and you wouldn't have to worry about a possible kink. I too like the look of the first option with the plumbing however it blocks out a ton of the lighting on the 120 rad, this is one reason I stepped away from it and went with option two. However, I just laid out a quick mod in PShop and might have a nice mesh of both, check it out and let me know what you and everyone else thinks, thanks for the critique BTW. That is why it is so nice to post this here and get all of the ideas this community has to offer Stuey 1122 Beauty! Love the effect of the LED's! Edit: BR Requested. I don't know what to say, Thank you for the recommendation ;) Who doesn't like BR's? BlackKnight.KTN Wow Love the lights. If you ever decide to do that for red LED and sell it, I may be interested depending on the price :D Red would be super easy to set up, these LED's are pressed in there and fit pretty snuggly with no glue. I almost went with the tri color LED's Red, green, and blue however I didn't see myself going to any other color and I'm unsure on the mcd brightness of that particular LED. I would love to make this again and would only charge you for materials and shipping + a little something for my time (my cost for these stands was about $50, but that included the large acrylic sheet which I have a ton of extra. They do sell smaller pieces for less ($16 at Home Depot for the one I got, great thickness and durability from scratches, cracking, what have you). Let me know if your interested in a similar setup for your rig, I would love to construct somemore
