There is probably more than just that. When I lived in Germany I visited France and  went to Omaha and Utah beach. I saw litters of shell casing from rifles and explosives as well as crater holes. Granted I have no clue if some of those shell casings were still dangerous or not. They did had a closed off area when I visited so I guess that may answer that question. France's land cant hide from its past history. Germany still has some spots of WWII that it cant hide too and a whole host of countries in the EU.

Of all the countries I traveled while in Europe in the 70/80/90 Italy showed the most damage to Building and Grounds to include Bunkers. Yugoslavia was the first Eastern Block country I visited and found the store were empty and what was in them was electronic devices of the 50's and early 60's at the time a real war torn country that would not let you forget their was a war here.
But at the time Yugoslavia did still have it's wonders and a place that I would recommend anyone to visit is a place called Plitvice Lakes near the city of Plitvice. It is a Wonder in the Spring and Summer as well as Frozen Winter Wonder.
Some my know this place as the first Tarzan Movie with Johnny Weissmuller where is call the sound of the wild and behind him are a number if waterfalls, this place was Plitvice Lakes. A Photo is on the way, I have to scan it. I was their in 1986 for a week.

There are areas of south east asia / south america / asia pacific where people go out an find the unexploded or exploded ordnance and sell them for scrap. Its incredibly dangerous and sad.

Pretty sure all of France is a red zone currently. Troops on the streets and all.
