Okay so I am redoing my thread from scratch as it was a bit disastrous. Anyways here are pics and the specs. Sorry for not doing a Mods Rig page. Just not sure I am up for doing that right now. Also should I upload pics of the internals? Oh if mods want they can lock my other thread. I would prefer to use this one.

I have 3 pictures of the innards and no they're not painted black which I am thankful for. Rather useless to have a black interior if there's no window to see it. By the way cable management is top notch and I love the way they make the video card stay rock solid so it doesn't wiggle or anything.

So is that cover over the graphics card some kind cool air intake?
Thats not worded very good. "Is it designed to feed cool air to the gpu". Thats better.
    Looks good bro.

Does not look like it is painted black, which kinda sucks imo :(

Anyhow, no side windows so the interior look doesn't matter all that much but it still would've been a nice touch !

Nice computer man, hope it serves you well. Is it possible for you to overclock with the Alienware/Dell BIOS ? I know a couple years ago it was not possible, is that still the case ?

I am not sure. I can try it. I would need to add a couple Scythe GTs though for push-pull.

Various personal reasons really. I needed something built to my specs without any issues or hassles involved. I gotta say I don't regret buying this new rig at all. Now I need a sweet monitor and the G930 and a extra drive and I am all set.

Oh the irony of having a pre-built computer with a AMD card, while in a custom computer building forum and Nvidia based products =P

Either way that is a sweet build and I really like the case!

I do know how to build them but because of personal reasons, mostly health related amongst a few other things, it's become impossible for me to build them myself. Hopefully next month I can get a Dell monitor. I am leaning towards a 23-24 inch Ultrasharp or the OptX.

Edit: Mods Rig is up. Yes it looks sub-par but it'll do.

Thanks man! I deleted the old rig from Mods Rig. Funny thing is it's sitting in my closet now. Soon it's gonna get gutted cleaned and most of it's parts will be sold off. Time to let go of the problematic past with that computer.

Anyways I am enjoying the Alienware so much. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by how well they packed everything. Too bad the keyboard sucks for typing. Oh well it was a freebie. I do like the mouse though.

Not sure why they didn't and it's not a big deal really. I am not going to make a fuss over the lack of a second fan on the cooler or lack of memory heat sinks. Right now I am happy with what I got and it does what I want it to do without any issues.

What does it cost you that customized alienware desktop? My 2010 mx15 laptop was a no go.

But i have to say you will enjoy the hardware and the whole system! BTW have you tried overclocking your 2600K? Is this cooling (corsair? Antec?) good?

Cost me about 1.9K roughly not including tax, shipping or the surge protector. I think they use the same oem cpu cooler unit most major companies like Corsair and Antec relies on. I have not tried to oc yet since I want to eventually set up a push-pull with the radiator.

I could only afford up to 2 grand though. I do want to try and throw in a SSD at some point but not any time soon. Way too expensive and I am not going cheap and getting a 60 Gig one like I did with my Mushkin. Right now my main upgrade path is a secondary HDD, new monitor and a headset. As for monitoring temps I have no software to do that really and I don't want to risk burning up my computer with the current fan setup on the radiator.

You have liquid cooling. I could overclock that CPU to 4ghz with my eyes closed (its already at 3.9ghz). MAYBE 1 - 2 degrees increase at the most. After all, its only 100mhz bump from what you are currently at now. That small bump wont need any voltage increases either. Just turn up the speed like you are turning up the volume on your stereo. Its literally that easy.

If I can get enough cash from selling off my sports cards and possibly my old computer parts I might try for for a 480-512 Gig SSD for os and games and use the 2 Tb I plan on getting for my media files only.

Did anyone see my post? That's why I build my own. Look at the savings + ALL the parts are better and faster.

The Mods Rigs Section should be strictly DIY in my opinion.
