Have an  EVGA 1080ti White Edition. Middle-earth Shadow Of War was included and I'd like a bit of help on the Texture Quality setting. I was required to install GeForce Experience to download the game. GeForce EXP set the Texture Quality to High and there is a graphic that shows it uses 3021 MB's of 11264 MB's. To run it on Ultra it requires 8266 MB's.

Will running it on Ultra stress the GPU? I don't have 4K so will I notice a difference? Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forums...

I would set it to Ultra and see how the game plays for you.  If you're getting smooth gameplay with the FPS you like, leave it as is.  If not, turn it back down.

We can't say if you would notice the difference or not. Just try it on Ultra and see how it goes.

I run 4k high settings with fxaa so I'd say 1440p might be ok at ultra make sure your dynamic resolution is turned off unless you like it changing resolution scale

There is no difference between high or ultra unless you download the free high resolution texture pack.
I saw this noted in the game settings while selecting the ultra texture selection. I installed the texture pack and am running on an Acer X34 3440x1440 monitor. GPU temps are the same. Not much more stress on my 1080Ti SC Blacks (SLI). FPS is about 75 to 90 and game looks great with the pack installed. Search the dlc section on steam and you’ll find the pack.
