can anyone tell me how accurate this is ? after removing stock cooler , nothing is salvageable, all the thermal pads are destroyed basically and the "thermal putty" needs to be replaced with thermal pads

backside need 3mm backside vram is 2mm for (3080)
back side ? you mean the backplate ? originally there are no thermal pads on the backplate

you dont need to touch actual thermal pads and putty on card. You ONLY need to backside thermal pads and see up to 7C drops

i have spare thermal pads, the 3080 originally has none on its backplate, can you illustrate where they go ?

THIS IS A 3090, a 3080 at the back is different ... do the thermal pads still apply to the 3080 ?

the ones listed at 1mm had to use 1.5mm and the 2mm ones had to stack 2x1mm seems like 2mm is alittle to small stacking gives it alittle more. opened the dam card like 3 times to finally fix it
