It seems that the latest craze is the SteamVR Performance test as AMD has released results of there findings here..
http://www.pcper.com/news/Graphics-Cards/Valve-releases-SteamVR-Performance-Test-Your-Rig-Ready Odd how AMD used an I7-6700K for testing..
I ran the test and it came back 7.3 (High) on my 290X with 1020Mhz/1350Mhz shipped clocks with driver 16.1 which is right in the middle of the 390 and 390X scores which run higher clocks .. so it tells me that the Skylake i7-6700K is not an upgrade to my 6 year old X58 platform for VR.
