Took well over 10 years and nearly 2,400 hours of game play, but I finally completed all the Steam achievements for Sid Meier's Civilization V.

    Wow... congratulations!

I thought a bunch of them were no longer possible to get?? I only have 83% of them. Really enjoyed that game and played the hell out of it, was unfortunate random multiplayer gamers were so unfriendly. I remember some of those scenario achievements are pretty time consuming!

That is a huge achievement, Nereus, huge!  Congratulations!

I am a huge Civ fanatic, dating back all the way to a quasi-predecessor to it, Strategic Conquest, which I would play with my father in hot-seat mode back in the 1980s.  I've never completed all of the Steam achievements for any Civ interation, though. My hat is off to you, sir. Tremendous work!

Thanks all. Been playing iterations of Civilization off and on since the original version last century! Civ V was the best of them all, imo. I have Civ VI but for some reason it just hasn't won me over, I keep going back to Civ V.

I'm thinking about Anno 1800 as my next long term fix - has some good reviews for sure! Also been playing a lot of Battlefield 2042 and still enjoying it.

I'm a big fan of the Civilization series and know how much of a time-sink it can be. I've never completed all the achievements, but I'm always impressed by those who do.

I study and write clipping path or clipping path services stuff.

I did enjoy Civ VI eventually after the last major update added in the missing mechanics V had and also introduced map and disaster events. But after playing Stellaris my expectations have increased for empire-builders, I won't be buying anymore Civ titles. If you enjoy sci-fi then Stellaris can be a very addictive empire builder / 4X RTS game that I could not recommend more. The only downside is it's best to buy it and the DLC on a steep summer/winter sale discount.
