I'm not gonna compete in this one: I know what my speed is and my burst-speed. That, and my wireless keyboard skips a bit when I reach full speed, so it'd wreck my score.

Adjusted speed of 60wpm(Astronaut Test)69wpm(baseball test). I used to be faster, but Im 2 years removed from my job where I had to type everyday.

O well I tested as an average user but I can type faster if it is my own thoughts rather than something I am reading, but I think that goes for all of us.

Meh it does not show your true colors because when I type I type what I think. That is the problem with these tests you have to type what they have up on the freaking screen and it makes you go uh, uh, uh, if you can not do two things at once lol.

Too true. Throwing more punctuation than I use in an entire paragraph at me in the first 5 sentences (Astronaut test) is not the way to get my speed calculated. Running a counter on what I'm typing, I can overload the keyboard and have skipped keys (this wireless board doesn't like to transmit above 80 WPM with all the interference), and still pull 70 wpm normal and 80 in a burst where I'm inspired or I just have to be one of the first to comment on something. Also, I'm an odd typist: I'm a right-shift-only person. I actually can't physically hit the left shift, it's just a little out of my reach for the left pinky, so I just use the right shift. I, consequentally, use up more keyboards than the average user.

meh I failed only about 60wpm, I agree with Shuriken these tests aren't very good. Especially for those of us in school (lots of "creative" writing) ;)

I know what you are saying about thinking and typing, it seems a lot smoother that way. But really, if you try one of these enough time it should become memory within 2-3 times of typing it. I suggest using test instructions for your test.
