Putting together my new rig and had a couple questions.
I use one dvi monitor most of the time but sometimes I'll use two, does it matter which GPU/DVI port (A or B) I have my primary/secondary monitors hooked up to? Also in Nvidia control panel what should my physx setting be, CPU, GPU A, GPU B, or Nvidia recommended?
Thanks

Which monitor is plugged in where doesn't matter, you can change the layout however you like within windows.

Physx is best done by the GPUs, I would either set it to the secondary display GPU or nVidia recommended.

I would set the physx to CPU.

first off, unless you play games that advertize Physx it does nothing to enhance the game.  there are maybe two games that have any added benefit, Batman:AA and ......arrgh I forgot the other.

Anyway Physx will bog your GPU some, so neutralizing the total reason you have two....better,fater graphic rendering.  Let the CPU do it if it is enabled in a game.

    Just two cents.

Ryzen 3700X, Asus Crosshair VIII, 32 GB Corsair Vengence, EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra. Corsair 7000D.

You will take an even larger hit by telling it to dedicate to the CPU (might as well turn it off entirely) . . . you're better off doing what rjbelans said and ignoring what magoo25 posted.  If the game you're running doesn't use PhysX then it won't help or hurt anything, if you're running a game with it, it will help at the cost of some FPS.    There are several more games than that as well, and it all depends on whether or not you play them.  Go to geforce.com, Nvidia has a list of them.

Do you plan on gaming on the second DVI monitor?
If you do, then it appears to work best if both DVI monitors are plugged into the same GPU.  When I tried plugging them into different locations I ran into random errors (occasionaly screen flickering and sometimes one monitor not activating at all).  Also a side note, if you want to run quad SLI you can't have a display port and DVI plugged in, otherwise it will only run 3-way sli.  Here is a screen capture of my control panel below.

I game on the second one as well, Supreme Commander FA & 2, World in conflict, most other games like FPS I just use one. Right now I have both Monitors hooked up to GPU B.
