Just sent Antec a long email about my history of owning and liking their products but how recently the last few years, alot of other companies are starting to make them eat dust in comparison to their products.

I stated my concern with that along with alot of PC builders are no longer purchasing Antec products due to the changes in market and consumer demands that Antec is no longer bothering trying to adapt and make new things to go with the changes.

Doubt if anything will come of it, but I figure its best to let them know where they currently stand and let it be in their ballpark if they decide to change for the better or have other companies like Corsair and NZXT mow over them.

I miss the golden days of PC gaming and building with cases like these, I loved working on them and making new case themes!

Probably true, while the community just  at their cases.

+ like 9000 to that.  When they do bring "new" cases to market, all they do is slap some lipstick on the same old pig.  Time to fire the Antec case design team and start fresh......well, they should be near retirement now anyway.

Well the naysayers can officially (Edited for language), Antec responded.

I'm looking for input/suggestions on what to tell him in my response email for what Antec should do with their products  to compete in this new PC case marketplace. Now is your chance to speak your mind and have a say in the future of Antec

How about side facing HD bays? That is a must for me when buying a case. It has to be able to support full sized video cards and have easy access to my HD's in case of a Raid drive failure.

Take a look at the DF-85. I like it a lot. But i hate the way the HD's have to be mounted.

And that seems to be the main thing that stops me from buying them.

They also dont seem to like side windows... But a lot of people love to have them and they dont really change much on a case function wise.

At least you got a response.  Now to see if what they believe is their 'solution' is actually worthwhile.

    • Bigger cases - E-ATX or maybe even an XL-ATX full tower case, more depth for video cards, more space behind motherboard tray for cable management.  Their entire "gamer" lineup is tiny, even the full tower 1200 and DF-85.
    • More cable management holes, secure points, and space.
    • They need to ditch the 5.25" to 3.5" cages and make some rotatable hard drive cages, like the Cooler Master Storm Trooper for example.
    • Ventilation for bottom mounted PSUs.
    • Water cooling support?  Top radiators up to 3x 120mm for full tower and 2x 120mm for mid tower.
    • If they revise the Performance One lineup, they should make them out of aluminum and look to compete with Lian-Li.

Yes more depth from front to back for cards, and maybe even wider.

Cuz in my Antec 1200, with the 580 Classy, I have to slide out the HDD cage about an inch out the front, to allow the card room.

And when I sleeved the cables, the are squeezed by the case door... An inch or so wider, would be great.

If Antec wants more feedback then it would behoove them to post in the EVGA forums and let the forum members give them direct feedback. Mods Rigs would be a good place to post. They can contact the webmaster to get an official title: webmaster@evga.com

I think they should develop their "Lanboy" case idea more fully. The versatility and openness of the case is nice. But the overall flimsiness and the bungee cord thing has definitely got to go.
