I noticed  many ppl raging on facebook and other places about evga not being able to sell cards, why won't you implement queue system which would show people their position in the queue for given product? It would mitigate at least some of negative PR.

Yeah what EVGA and Best Buy is doing is better than a lot of places already, and to modify it now while people are in que already would not be the smartest idea. Do not fix what's not broken or you may just break it.

They have some timer going on lets you only put one card in your cart, and once you buy it you are on a cool down timer.

I have never seen a RTX 3000 series card in stock at Best Buy. Been checking every 30 min or less.

Normally the stock trackers, when they go up everyone goes there like a swarm of locust and they go poof really fast... like minutes.... I was on Stock Tracker Discord that would be your best bet honestly. I just got tired of fighting with the bots. Like would be there checking out paying, then bam hangup and I missed out. So I just bought an entire new prebuilt PC with a 3070. If I had over a 1440p display would had gone with the 3080 or 3090 those would be utter overkill and not worth it for me.

My guess is that batch size and frequency varies a lot from each batch, and for each card, adding a number would create the expectation that you can predict when you'll get a card, when it's still wildly unpredictable. It'd also show how depending on what card you signed up for, that your queue is going a lot faster or slower than other queues. Along with people asking "why did the FTW3 ultra queue progress 100 cards yesterday, when my xc3 ultra queue didn't progress at all in the past week?" and such.

In other words, a number won't let you know when you'll get your card, it'll just trick you into thinking you'll know.

Regarding metrics, I don’t think the number in line would reveal that much as people waiting may have already found cards elsewhere. I wonder what the follow through rate is. It would be nice if it showed an estimate date range based on supply flow, buy rate, and number in the waitlist. The range would help people decide if they should look elsewhere.

As far as if you should look elsewhere, cards are very hard to find wherever you go, the best option isn't merely to look elsewhere, but as many places as possible if you want to get a card as soon as possible.
They queue system does allow you another option, and likely the only option that doesn't require constant checking.

There is an unofficial list (several of them in fact) that can be found in this topic: https://forums.evga.com/Spreadsheet-Megathread-10000-entries-m3170768.aspx

The chances of an official list or queue number seems unlikely, bu those spreadsheet is the next best thing when it comes to trying to predict wait times, even if it's consumer made and based only on info that people chose to submit.

I think its incredible they offer even the spreadsheet. Im sure it's really hard to keep up with something like that.

I am just really curious on how many people get the queue email and don't respond in the 8 hours.

    Sadly,
I've missed an email. I work graveyard and sleep from 9 am-5 pm (longer if roommates are noisy, and I tack on more time to make up for it). It was heartbreaking to see when I got up. I try my best to reflexively check my emails if I wake up in "the middle of the night" but missed the day I was notified.

When that happens I have seen people mention it to Jacob on Twitter and he tells them to reply to the email they were sent and they would be taken care of. Have seen people be able to buy their card because of it.

The eight hour window has not been an issue for folks paying attention -- what I mean is the following: if you receive an "invite to purchase" email and you miss the window, do the following:

    (1) reply to the email (it should have come from ordernotify@evga.com) and indicate you desire to purchase the card.
    (2) call EVGA customer service during their working hours (9 to 6 am Weekdays (excluding EVGA holidays): 1.888.881.EVGA (3842)
    (3) they should be able to locate your reply, confirm that the queue has reached your registration and reissue you a new email with a new link to purchase your card.  It might take a day or so for them to confirm on-hand inventory and issue the replacement email.

Please be vigilant about checking your in-box, whitelist ordernotify@evga.com with your preferred email client, and do not panic about the 8 hour window.  EVGA will get you sorted.

    Best of luck!
