Guys i run at 2560x1600 so i need heavy graphic power for this reso... ive notice that starcraft 2 is not so good with sli... its almost the same if i turn it on or off.... is there any EVGA SLI patch for this game or something??? i know it still just at BETA and not the full game but id like to enjoy the game at max settings in the mean time... thanks in advance!

What type of SLI are you running? Try using force alternate frame rendering 2 in the nvidia control panel. It may be also due to your GTX 275's, they only have 900MB of VRAM. That's a huge res to run.

I tried that already... it made no difference. only me lowering the settings helps to smooth out the game... but according to me i should be able to crank the settings up with my set up :( i guess not... the interesting thing is the when i enable sli it almost makes no difference....and i heard that BETA dont support sli... i was wondering if there was a patch or something... i know that im not FUlly utilizing my two gpus cause when i go on Precision tool it says that they are 40-50% use on both of my GPUS.... and when i play COD MODERN WARFARE 2, they go up to 80-95 % use on both.

Well, WOW does not support SLI, maybe SCII beta won't support it. Or worse the final release. Or you could try the new beta drivers 258.69 from the nvidia website. If you see both GPU's @ 50% doesn't mean it is not using both, but maybe that reso is to high and you have a bottleneck with the cards memory. But that's what I think, I'm no expert. You could also play @ 1920x1080 or 1900x1200 and see if the load on both GPU's remain the same. Good luck, cheers.

i get worse performance with SLI enabled for whatever reason. I feel like there's some kind of stuttering and choppiness going on with the game..i'd like to think 2 gtx280s can handle this game flawlessly but they seem to struggle and i'm using 258.69 as well. i disabled sli on sc2 and the game seems to run smoother than with sli on.

jg1985, What are your vid settings for the game.. can you take a screenie? If so post it, and maybe one of the forum users might find an adjustment to fix your choppyness. I was running 2 9800gtx's in sli, on ultra with no problems @ 1920x1200. only some stutter with the video, just turned vsync on and have had no problem since. Just installed 2 260/216's purchased on the forums here, and am running ultra, still no probs. Good luck, and let us know whats going on with it.

By changing transparentshadows=1 to value 0 in the variables.txt file completely fixed the cutscene frame rates and stuttering problem on my EVGA GTX 295 FTW CO-OP Edition running in multi-GPU mode. Thanks to Sangrak in this thread for the solution. http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=175783

Ok. I take it back. After playing the game some more, yes, the transparentshadows=1 to value 0 solution does help tremendously, but alas there are still slight artifacts, stuttering and static in my sound which go away when multi-GPU is turned off on my EVGA GTX 295 FTW. Oh well, at least it's tolerable now.

I randomly freeze and have to hard reboot when games start. It doesn't matter if they are melee or custom etc. Anyone know a fix for this? Will the shadows help? PS: can't have max settings without sli =(. The mothership animations tank my FPS

I froze a lot during the campaign and had to hard reboot often. Changing the 'Effects' to Low stopped most of that. I still have the drivers crash and recover every now and then, but no hard reboots. Since 'Effects' says it's CPU, I ended leaving everything on ultra except whatever was CPU bound. Worth trying I suppose.
