For my Quad SLI EVGA GeForce GTX 295 Red Editions, my Lian Li PC-A7010 Black had a handy side fan which was positioned so it would push hot air outside the case:

And this fan was perfectly placed over the heat exhausts of my EVGA GTX 295 RE's, helping them get rid of the hot air

Thus the solution was idealized with this Side Fan for users that had 9800 GX2 & GTX 295 Dual PCB based Quad SLI Setups with the Lian Li PC-A7010/7110 Black Cases

Have not been following the news this year until lately, and only today noticed this post: TU Gold Leader for this encouraging rumor.
My gtx 590 classified wants to be bested by a dual card like this.
We bypassed the 690 after upgrading from a 290 only a year before that. 690 just was not that much better when our 590 performs so well in our current rig. It has been years that we are waiting for a card that is in every way better than our 590.
No 790 dual card ever came our way, and the Titans did not inspire us sufficiently while discouraging us with ridiculous price profiles.
A gpu upgrade along the lines of a 990 is something we can be enthusiastic about.
I have preferred single slot solutions ever since the 290 appeared, and we were able to make the 290 and our present 590 work well with air cooling.
Looking forward to official news but so far nothing. I began to hope for such a card as this when the 980s were released but along with this post from Gold Leader I have not seen anything official apart from rumors. And ever since the waning days of the 690, which is the last great NVidia dual card solution, the rumors have been like the fog that dissipates in the light of day, so that visions that seemed so promising prove to be only illusory, never more than rumor.
I remain hopeful and I continue to enjoy gaming with my never faltering gtx590 classified. I have no desire to buy two cards again and do a mechanical SLI set up.

Dual GM204 is only way for NVIDIA to save Maxwell, but they will make big mistake if start to play with performance and price and avoid to accept Free Sync. Because if Free Sync work all manufacturers will accept that for 90% of monitors. From other side not all of them will install some kind of expensive NVIDIA hardware inside because smaller number of customers will buy that.
Such politic lead us in one situation:
If you have NVIDIA graphic card you have stutter, lag on most monitors and you can't use some function build in and best for gamers. That will increase number of complains and rage, frustration and we have even now many complains without that. Special when AMD users start to enjoy. Why not, monitor manufacturers will earn 100$ more almost for nothing, they don't need to do nothing special, less risk of RMA or broken hardware as with G-Sync.
And than we become micro-stutter crew as we talk for AMD during last years and why many people cross on NVIDIA.

would be nice, I'm waiting to see a 960 GTX Ti...I can hope...

Why do you think that NVIDIA will come out with a GTX 960Ti when they never came out with a GTX 760Ti other than the OEM one?
And was even rated lower then the GTX 760

well a GTX 760 Ti would have been a rebagded GTX 670 literally, it was the only place left to go lol.

I had a hard time trying to decide on either 2 GTX295/s or 3 GTX285/s
If I'd gone with 2 295's I would have been able to use my X-Fi Audio card.
