I have been buying EVGA components for a very long time, money was never easy to come by, every piece of computer hardware had to be budgeted months and sometimes years in advance.
But reliability mattered you see, in 1998 the love of my life fainted on her way to college, she was 21, a gamer like me, when not playing tabletop we would be fighting over my first computer build, playing games like Daggerfall, Total Annihilation or Half life.
It was cancer, it was incurable and after badgering the consultant to give us the diagnosis straight he told us either the cancer would kill her or the medication.
Paola spent most of the next 20 years unable to leave the house except in a wheelchair, but gaming, that we could do, I don't remember when I bought my first EVGA part, I know it was recommended by a friend.
 
I always tried to stay ahead of the curve when it came to technology, first BT home highway (dual ISDN lines) then ADSL, Streaming computers.
 
She was always in pain always suffering, never complained and accepted life as it was and got on with it, so I did what I could to make her smile.
 
The last purchase for her computer was an EVGA 1080ti FTW 3, it took me a year to save up for it, and she loved being able to play everything at max details, from Skyrim VR to Assassins Creed Origins.
 

 
Now that EVGA 1080ti is in my computer and is helping me to continue on because not only am I also classed as severely disabled due to ADHD, Bipolar type 2 and  PTSD 7 days after she died I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and spent that Christmas in hospital having 40% of my bowels removed, I have nodules on my lungs that the Oncologist is keeping an eye on.
 
VR and gaming keep me going, I spend my time Streaming, Vlogging on Youtube and take one day at a time.
