At a guess? The clear side panel of your case isn't flat, causing the image to bend a little. Does it look the same with the side of the case removed?

Or perhaps your power cables that are hooked into the GPU are so rigid that they push up the back of your card.

Can you take a closer picture with the side panel off? The glare and distance is not helping. It looks normal though. Maybe the water tubes are pushing weight on it causing some of the flex?

Sag is expected, even more so if you don't have a back plate. It looks like you have one though, but the picture is not the best. Most people just have a figurine or something sturdy underneath their card if it worries them.

do you want an picture without the panel? no there is no pressure on the cables checked it two times. also tried to losse the screws and tighten ip up again but same result. took the card out and checked the pcb, also a visible slght bend when i had the card in my hands.

Yes, please. Take a picture without the case's side panel. Also a little closer to the card so we can see it more clearly.

Holding up a piece of paper on top on my screen and using the backplate as a reference - it looks straight. Maybe it's just an optical allusion with the varying layers of the card?

hehe nice idea:D i will try to make an better picture. when i took the card out and look from the side i can see there is a slight bend in the backplate and the pcb itself. when i put the card back in, it looks like the weight from the cooler is moving the card to the bottom. sorry my english is so bad. when i push on the downside from the cooler is straighten out. not completely but way better

Looks odd at first as the picture is taken at a slight angle.   Get a T Square and measure from the bottom of the case to the back plate and see if there is any difference.  It does look like the back plate is twisted from that photo.  Or just do what MrM  suggested lol.

I have no eagle eyes by any means, but you can see  end of the back-plate lift

ok so you thonk i dont have to worry about it? yeah i know some sag is just normal, had a few strix cards before they are just beefy. but that was the whole card that is sagging, here to me it looks like the last maybe 2 or 3 centimeters are bend a bit to the top. dont know, first time i see something like this. otherwise, anyone from you hitting high temps and got coilwhine? have a bad coilewhine and hitting 78c after 10 minutes of gaming. By the way thanks for your fast reactions:)

I'm glad that made it easier to see. It looks okay to me. I have definitely had more sag in other air cooled cards in the past.

So if you adjust the picture for camera angle and make it level, the bend is super tiny and looks completely normal. I really wouldn't worry too much! If anything just find something to stick under it to protect it from bend if it worries you that much. Congrats on stagging a card!

Do some benchmarks just to verify performance and temperatures are normal. If they come back fine, even more reason to not worry.

Like AWK16 said: its the lifting backplate at the end:) tested bench from shadow of the tomb raider today, hitting 77 degrees with high spinning fans. Just normal? i took the card out today and take some pics, if you want i can put them in here:)

It was successful. Looks like a little dip in the middle, but I suggest putting a straight edge against it to measure the variance (offset) from the edges. That way others can do the same and tell you if yours is significantly more. If you think it is too much or it isn't working properly suggest you contact EVGA.

could be the backplate or front plate are too tight? does not look like something to be worried about unless you have problems with gpu temperature

Again thanks for your replies and your time to help me. Yeah looks like the middle to me.when its build in it looks a Bit more worse cause the weight from the cooler is pushing the card down. Seems to be working fine, no crashes so far, the temps are hitting about 77-79 degrees (normal for this type of card?) so what you guys think, should i rma it or leave it in and wait?

I will try to lay somerhing completely flat thing on it, maybe its a bit more visible then. Talked to alternate also, they said its just normal, maybe it is just wondering cause this is the first card where i noticed this

Re: RTX 3080 xc3 Ultra Bend PCB 2020/11/23 02:35:31 (permalink)
i think there is a flaw in the design, i have an rtx 3080 xc3 ultra and bend near the pci-e attack to the case, i have done a post about it.
If you see all others cards of others manufactures you can see they use more screw for secure the card to the heasink, just see tuf zotac or gigabyte, they have 2 more screws near the pci-e.

Some strix cards i own in the past have a right angled piece of Metal from the io cover to the pcb so they cant bend in this area @ CoMa666: you have gpu sag also? I mean it doesnt matter i have to Deal with that till i get my ftw3 via stepup. Waiting for over 4 weeks now 😅
