I have an EVGA 1000 G2 currently working with my RTX 3080 FTW 3 Ultra without any issues for the past month , I'm using the Red Pci express cables that came with my PSU but honestly I don't like the looks , I want to buy the Cable mods EVGA kit for my PSU , However I have being reading  about issues when  using 3rd party cables with your EVGA 3080 series , is anyone here running cable mods cables with 3080 , Also if someone is using 3rd party sleeved cables with their 3080 without issues can you please post a link or recommend a set , thank you in advance .

    Can confirm, I've used a few different brands of cable (extensions) on my Corsair RM850x + 3080 FTW3 Ultra combo without issue.  Tried: CableMod, ezdiy-FAB and Silverstone.

    Running CableMod kit on my Corsair RM850 and a FTW3 3080. Zero issues. Card runs beautiful...

    Sweet rig!  Really dig the vert mount - just need to source a few 24-pin cable combs and you'll be in cable mgmt heaven!

    A little bit off topic, but for those with the 3080 FTW I found this company which makes a combined 8+8+8 pin. So, a 24 pin, but it's 3 combined Pcie cables. Mine gets delivered Monday! Cablemod and a few other places don't make these, so thought it might be nice for those looking for a clean setup.

    I’m using CableMod extensions for my 3080 FTW
    ultra with an EVGA 850w PSU, and I’ve had zero issues, in the 3 days I’ve had my card so far.

    I run custom cables from TitanRig with my FTW 3080. It's 3 8-pins essentially strapped together to make a 24 pin. Been using them for a few months without issue.

    How are your CPU temps exhausting through your radiator in your build?

    CableMod allows you to build a custom cable - they call it a "Bridged 8+8+8 PCI-E" but it doesn't come cheap ~$US85

    Pretty good! I have a 5800x, and browsing and such it's 45c. Gaming around 60c. GPU is pretty well cooled also, that idles around 28c and under full load and overclocked the highest I've ever seen it go is 70c in RDR2 for whatever reason. In Cyberpunk and pretty much every other taxing game it's 55-60c though.

    Yeah, that's about what I ended up paying for mine. lol That's fine, it's more a luxury item and not really a necessity, so that's to be expected.
