I just made this build about a week ago to start gaming at 1440p. So far it's been a blast to finally get my hands on a current gen GPU. The current game I'm playing is Valheim with all settings max and while running the Vulkan engine. While this game isn't super demanding at time I'll have HWinfo/MSI rivatuner overlay to keep track of my temps. I currently have my fans curve set to aggressive and to be honest it's a lot louder then I would like to be while gaming but it's getting the job done. During startup of the game it seem the GPU is getting into heat soak so I would understand 60-65c range, however with my gpu it starts tipping the 70-75c range. Just wondering if this is just my setting/setup or do I have a bad paste application on my card.

From what I gather this could be partially due to the fact that on the EVGA cards the memory shares the same vapor chamber cold plate as the GPU die and that could be why the temps are a little higher than what people see with a founders edition where the cold plate only contacts the GPU die and the memory is linked directly to the heatsink fins. That should in theory give you better memory temperatures but would give you slightly warmer GPU temps.

Even with the RPM this high?

Ahh, thanks for your references picture. That's my concern, my fans RPM are almost at 3k running this game. Also your boost clock is a lot higher too. Also are you OC? or is this stock card?

Everything is default, I haven't changed a thing. I assume your case is properly ventilated? Please take off a side panel, give it a little breath a check again. No cold air,no boost.

You can see my spec in the original post, it is well ventilated with Noctua case fans.

the question is, does your case fans scale up along with your GPU fans? because I can get up to 60c if my AIO 3fan front intake stay at the low 900-1000rmps (Normal). when game, i up them to 1100-1300. Because your GPU makes a ton of heat and sometimes your airflow might not be fast enough to keep the airflow going with cooler air...

I did Asrock Fan-tastic tuning, their fan curve tuner. I have it set to max out at a lower temp at 1300rpm. I definitely agree that the GPU produces a lot of heat and the dissipation of the heat could be an issue. Thanks for the insight.

That's insane..15 fans but not differently a bad choice. I am starting to wonder if it's possibly my setup?

Case and fans matter a lot.

I fully agree, I just exchanged the h100i (240MM) for the h150i (360MM). It seems to make a little bit of a differences. I am seeing a small change in RPM on the fans while under load. Maybe the new vbios might help me my case.
