So I've had my 2070 a few days and it's working, apart from the normal issues of the fans clicking on spin up and constantly turning on and off  (which seems to be fixed by disabling fast boot). But while checking to to see if the cables were catching in the fans I noticed the PCB had quite the bend.

(Unfortunately I've not got a better picture as I have already rectified the issue by shifting the VRM/memory plate slightly.)

So this might be an assembly/QC issue, the VRM plate has a cut out for the inductor to sit in but has a fairly tight clearance. In my case during assembly at the factory it seems plate has caught the edge of the inductor has been screwed together regardless causing this massive bend. Ignoring that the thermal pads were not contacting properly in this area the mechanical stress this must have put on the components is quite concerning.

I've attached a picture after shifting the plate, it's look fairly normal with maybe a slight bend to the top and bottom plates.

For those curious, I removed the heatsink and all the back plate screws apart from the one under the EVGA sticker to be able to shift the plate (so no seals broken). I hope this doesn't impact possible future warranty claims. It would be nice if EVGA staff could comment on the warranty, thanks.

Considering you can remove the stock heatsink and fan, put a waterblock on the card and the put the stock heatsink and fan
back on the card in the original configuration and it won't void the warranty I think you're fine...

But if you require an eVGA rep to say that, Which I'm not, don't take my word for it.

At least you identified the issue and corrected it! Well done.

Trans already let you know about warranty.. I am no EVGA rep either, but you can take his word for it.
