Hot!RMA being returned via UPS SurePost

Is this typical? The RMA recommended that I send the package using UPS Ground, and I was told that the return would be sent as UPS Ground as well. The tracking number I received indicates UPS SurePost, with the option to upgrade to UPS Ground for $7. Crappy way to save a buck EVGA.

Is this normal? I’m just frustrated that the RMA acceptance email indicated UPS Ground explicitly.

    Depending on your location and the item shipped, the final shipping method for a ground shipment may be updated between UPS, USPS, FedEx or a collaboration between the carriers as in this case with UPS SurePost.

    1. It was stated in the RMA that the return would be UPS Ground. If this is not a determined shipping method, it indicated the minimum shipping value. EVGA later chose a lesser valued shipping method which is NOT location dependent.
    2. UPS SurePost is an absolute pain and takes longer than UPS Ground in most instances.
    3. Turnaround time should reflect shipping, especially if EVGA elects cheaper options.

    I don’t care that you achieved your 1-3 day turnaround window. You chose to send it out via snail-mail which delays this process. Ignoring that aspect lets me know where your priorities are.

    I paid for the UPS Ground upgrade so I don’t have to deal with this nonsense. This was a negative experience.
