How are your temps? Are you happy?

Cancelled my Strix order because I felt really uneasy about not going with Evga, so now I'll be waiting for an XC Ultra or FTW3 from Amazon.

    Very Happy

    check my build RTX Project

    Heavy loaded for days .....  ΔT = 40C  .... ("Delta T" of 40C = 40C Over room temp)

this with Exceptional airflow through the case - as the sides are off of the case with auxiliary fan moving most of the heat away from GPU cooler fans

Closed case will probably be warmer ---> even with "good airflow" as some heat will get recycled back to the GPU cooler

Nice case, can't wait to see how it looks with the loop!

My temps are not great. If I OC it reaches 80 even with custom fan profile. If I don't OC it's around 76 :(

In idle temp stays near 54 degree Celcius with 2080Ti XC Ultra fans not spinning around (completely passive).

In Battlefield 1 game the temps keep between 68-70 (not over 70) with fan speed on 55%.

This is in closed Corsair 750D case.

Had an issue with the card first - when I quit gaming then card still managed to reach temp threshold and fans kicked in - and then constantly fans were switching on and off as temp threshold reached. Suspected that maybe thermal paste ain't covering GPU properly and seems I wasn't far off as seen in below picture. At any rate cleaned uo the old paste and applied Grizzly Kryonaut and seems to be good now as fans no longer switch on/off on idle.

EDIT: didn't help .. fan still switching on/off at idle. I know that I can apply a custom fan curve as well but seems strange that if passive in idle is indeed no longer possible on RTX Ti cards?
    Anyone else?

In the Upper Right Side it looks like the TIM was not spread over this Area.
On the Cooler or Heat Sink was it covered in that that same location?

There was much much less paste on the cooler plate.
As some of the parts on GPU were shining I doubt there was any paste there at the time.

Spreaded Kryonaut onto the GPU but after some time the heat still builds up to 55 degrees and then fans start kicking in. Maybe I just need a bit more agressive ventilation to the case but barely any info on the Internet regarding with temps for Ti XC Ultra

My XC Ultra idles around 45-52 degrees depending on the temp in my house/room (I live in TX and the weather has been drastically different the last week). However, when I play games (recently Fallout 4 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey), it easily reaches mid 80s with a mild OC (+150 GPU +600 Memory). I think its mostly a byproduct of my case/cooling as my other GPUs reached these same temps. I have a Corsair 280X mATX case with two 120mm intake fans and two 140mm exhaust fans, but they are blowing through a rad for the Corsair H115i.

The case has a very low clearance, so I'm going to switch out the feet to give bottom of the case more airflow. I doubt it will make a noticeable improvement, but its an easy fix. I'm also going to repaste and see if that changes much if any. Ultimately i'll probably end up going with a hybrid kit down the road. Part of me had regretted not waiting for the FTW3 and wish I could order one and then return this one, but the 1 limit on the site kills that idea, and I'm not entirely convinced it would make a big difference.

    Many thanks jedolley, much appreciated.

Most likely will get a hybrid kit as well.

Airflow has a big impact on Temps

You have to get the heat out of the case, before it gets recycled back into the cooler & try to supply plenty of cold air for the PC

Room Temps ?  cause GPU temp without the reference of room temp has No meaning

Case used ... where the fans are ....
Fans used - blow in or out ..... RPM

Loaded hard +80% load folding & benchmarks  --- 40C above room temp in an open case

What type of case / fans? I'm using an Air 540 that has good airflow and my GTX 980 FTW has always sat around 79-81c, I really don't want another hot card again.

Finally got my 2080 Ti Xc Ultra, this card runs HOT as heck, I'm sitting between 81c-82c in Path of Exile at 3440x1440 120hz, 1850mhz-1875mhz, pretty lackluster.

My temps range from 35c(idle) to 75c(max load) with the 2080 Ti XC Ultra. I was 10c higher on max load with a Titan Xp. The system in my signature is up-to-date with out of box clock speeds (cpu&gpu).

I'm pleasantly surprised that my 2080 TI XC Ultra runs maxed at 71c, idles at 36c in a Blackbird 002 case that has one 120mm intake fan blowing directly at gpu. I've always used blower style cards for this reason.

The card is running stock, waiting for X1 to come out of beta, boosts and stays at 1935mhz. Per gpu-z the fan speed is at 60%, eagerly waiting to see what it runs at with an oc and better fan profile.

How's your ambient? I'd say it's a comfortable 75f in here, I have an Air 540 with 5 Noctua 140mm's. That 81c-82c temp is with 81% auto fan speed too.

From what I've gathered so far with the amount of heat dumped by this card, it has increased ALL of my temps more than I'd like.

    Cpu +10-20C
    M.2 +15c
    VRM's +10c
    DIMM +10c

I'm gonna have to give my front panel a good dusting and increase the fan curve of my case fans.

With the window wide open? The hybrid cards run warmer than that.

im in a cool basement - in canada its winter here
pc sits just above the floor

and yes im just looking at precision x1 right now its at 32c at idle
im also running in 4k which means my idle clocks at 1350

and my custom fan profile starts at 50% and doesn't kick in changes until 40c

my card also very hot...and my area is now winter, room temperature is very low
82c in game, the fan work at high speed, big noise.
the worst thing is that the core frequency will drop a large range
the air conditioner must be turned on all the time in the warm weather, otherwise the card temperature must be terrible.

    Idles 55c
    Gaming/Benchmark 85-90c
VRAM has gone over 90c a couple times.

Ventilation in my case is more than adequate. These cards get too hot, end of story.  Every other piece of hardware in my case idles at 35c and never breaks 70c.  This terrible dual fan blow hot air into my case design heatsink has increased my CPU temps by 5-10 degrees. It's no surprise they can't keep the hybrid kits in stock.

Then you are playing in a freezer with an open case. There is no way you are getting those temps in a closed case unless your tower sounds like a jet engine.

Yeah temps mean nothing without knowing the temp in your room. I'm on a 2080ti ftw 3 and my temps gpu temps never go much past 60c highest ive ever seen is 63c but im always at 72f or less i don't like it hot. I feel like some of you just like hotter rooms thats going to effect your temps computers like the cold. Also im in a.closed case enthoo atx evolve, although i have good airflow n15 noctua d15 cooler and industrial noctua fans.
