Hi. I have two displays at the top of my list, the Alienware AW3821DW 38 " Curved Ultrawide and the Acer Predator X38 Pbmiphzx 2300R Curved 37.5" UltraWide QHD+ . THe are $1099 and $1699. Same size of 38, same resolution of 3840 x 1600 and both are Gsync Ultimate. My issue is I am having a difficult time seeing why the Acer X38 cost $600 more?  I currently have the Alienware 34" 120hz Gsync 3440x1440 and it has never dissapointed me. This is not my first Dell product, and  I have always had really good luck with Dell support on replacements, if needed, so I am leaning in that direction.

Any input on why such a price difference? Also chime in on any experience with Acer support.

Thanks

Having had such a good experience with Dell and my Alienware AW3428DW, I went ahead and got the AW3821DW.

I have the AW3821DW and love it.  (upgraded from a AW3428DW)

that said the upcoming LG C2 42" will probably be the next thing I buy.

Bet that will be nice. Too large for my setup and I learned real fast after ordering nice 4k that I cannot go back to that ratio. Sent it back same-day and ordered the AW3821DW. Anything I get from now on will be ultra wide.

Grats and welcome to the family RJB! Pretty much everyone who puts one on there desk and games with it end up loving it. Its a LG panel, newest gsync and Dell's exchange/warranty for 3 years is a great addition. @rblaes: did you end up using the exchange for your issue?
