Psu to gpu cable connection

Iโ€™m confused on what end goes to the psu and what end goes to the gpu . Currently have an evga g6 1000w and 3080ti ftw

    The one on the left is the one on the psu end and the split one, 6+2pin, is on the gpu end

    if you have a video card that just needs one plug use one on right,you can use the other one if you card needs 2 8pin connectors its just a pig tale connector.

    If you need 3 connections, you could use both. I ended up using 3 separate connections from my PSU for the 3090. I had the extra cable handy, and a free port on the PSU to put it in, so I figured why not?

    I would use 3 seprate 8 pin connectors and avoid using the pig tale one.
