Welcome to the crunching threads! Great to see you. And you are correct, it seems some of the wording is a bit off. I would however offer that once you dig in and become more familiar with what the specific project is doing, the wording is understandable. In this case, it was a portion of a project that is a participant in the "Big picture". It was not a project to end cancer on its own. Are you thinking of helping/participating?

I can't believe MS does this update thing like that. People with a business that needs the system on 24/7, they just reboot your computer when they feel like it. I don't like it.
But the hack for wired computers to be like wifi does seem to work and it lets you choose to DL the updates or not.
They are trying become like Apple or want to be like Apple and install their OS like Apple installs iOS on your iPhone. I think that Microsoft Employees have Apple iPhones and Computers and are behind the seen killing Microsoft without or even with Microsoft knowing. Only my 2 Cents

But even my Iphone I have a choice to install the update or not.
What if my PC is also my security system for my home or business and they decide to reboot it at their will.
That's BS and should not be allowed. A 12 hour window, that's nuts too. They should give at least a 7 day window, at least.
OK back on topic, I dont have any new badges gosh darn it. Guess I am not crunching enough. 
That is true but you also have no other Hardware installed in your iPhone. If Microsoft would have stayed on the OS Side Only (Back to Service Packs) and out of the Hardware Side then we would be ok for the most part. I have yet have had an Apple iOS update kill any of my Hardware in my iPhone, oh! Wait my iPhone has no Hardware  Yes Back On Topic.
