It is just a commitment to participate, and strive to climb up the ranks as a team in the DC Vault and a few other trackers (Pretty cool actually). Copy the URL and place it in your sig as long as you are willing to...

  • Have fun
  • Like drama free environments
  • Have fun
  • Know there are no prizes beyond self gratification and knowledge you are helping the greater good
  • Have fun
  • Are willing to ask questions (We all started with zero know how)
  • Have fun
  • Willing to not worry about points as it is not the measuring stick in crunching, years of service is

And please. FTLOG... Have fun!

Cool!  Thanks for the info.  I'm adding the badge now! Although, admittedly I am a point watcher.  I like to see the little green arrows next to my projects and the teams and I do like to see us rising the ranks in DC Vault.  But I am all for having fun and helping these great causes.

BTW, did anyone else notice we moved from 13 to 12?

Welcome and thank you.

AS for points. Oh we all look at them and do they same as you are . My comment about the years portion is only because of this... Some projects I can crank One Million points a day from, others I can only get about 50,000 using the same exact equipment. As each project has a different opinion on points. As a result, we have adjusted to more of a team spirit, out perform other teams, while helping finding cures.

Most of us did get knee deep into the points thing in other projects, and found them to bring out the... Rougher side of folks so to speak. As a result, we created this team where it is impossible to measure ones commitment from points. You can from years of performance and badges though!!! lol...

Keep in mind... When I say years of performance... It is not human years... It is hours of computing added together... Depending on the project, every core gets one real life hour, so if you have an eight core CPU, your getting eight hours of computing time for every one hour of real time... Because each core is running that hour...

Is there a way to find out how many CPU hours my equipment has contributed, both in folding and crunching?

Folding, no.  Crunching, I know World Community Grid tracks CPU hours, but I am not sure about any of the other projects - never really thought to look though.

There is no simple way. But if your running WUProp@Home it will track this once you start the project. I do not think it is retroactive though. WUProp uses very little resources so I don't even notice its there most of the time. I think of it as a background application that gives you a few free Boinc points each day. I am not running FAH any more so I can't say if it tracks FAH or not. I kind of doubt it.

http://wuprop.boinc-af.org/index.php

Here is a list of my run times since I have been running WUProp. Scroll down and look at the chart below the first graph to see my run time numbers. Notice its broken down by applications instead of by project. You simply have to add the numbers together to get a total.

Nice one bcavnaugh
I see you do some serious pulling over at Collatz. I was searching for some good GPU Projects besides GPUGRID.
Picked up some Collatz tasks, and they seem promising so far.
I've had some system shutdowns lately, so I Wonder if any had the same problem when "Precision X" is running together With BOINC ?
Testing without Precision X for a while now.

From what I have read for at lest BOINC they say not to OC the GPU.
I have EVGA Precision X installed but setup no profiles, one item I did see a while back was the power .exe file running at 8% CPU for each GPU installed. Remove EVGA Precision X and Do Not Save Profiles. Re-Install EVGA Precision X but do not change the Voltage and if you create a profile only set one to setup your Fan Speed.

The power .exe file makes perfect sense, and I can now confirm that Precision X interfers With certain BOINC tasks.
The other day I was monitoring how malaria tasks was suspended when I fired up Precision, to run again when I ended Precision.
"CPU busy" was logged, even though I had in my preferences not to suspend if cpu busy.
The 8% cpu load for Precision would much possibly tell BOINC that the cpu is busy, and override.
I have tested for different Project that goes well hand in hand With both cpu and gpu tasks.
I thought Malaria and GPUGRID was a good idea to run together, but ran into issues. Issues that may have been caused by Precision.
I don't OC the Cards, my intentions with Precision is to keep the Cards at only 82c, and no further.
I will do further testing, but without Precision for now.
I hope to combine CPU and GPU tasks that runs Nicely together.

Stay tuned bcavnaugh, I see you far far ahead......

That is exactly how I run my Precision X. Fan profile only in turbo mode and do not over clock the GPU.

To see what your GPUs are up to use EVGA NV-Z 0.x.x the EXE is located under "C:\Program Files\EVGA\EVGA OC Scanner X" and called nvz.exe I create a short cut and Pin it to my TaskBar. You will need to install EVGA OC Scanner X or copy the exe from another computer.
Under No Load.

Are they going to even give out based on older scores or Points?
Or from this day on.

Based on existing scores, whereby bringing the sieves into line with the rest of the projects.

I have a new badge but I have no clue where it came from. Its a grey square with MM in it. I suspected Mind Modeling but they do not have badges yet.

Plus I hit 25 million for GPU Grid and got this new badge.

I have an "MM" badge too, but like you, I have no idea where it came from.  It can't be MindModeling because I have not worked that project.

MM are Combined from Free DC and only show on Free DC so they are your Milestones for Combined BOINC projects so to say.
You will also see other badges that are shown as the 4 for Collatz Conjecture and the 2 for Asteroids@Home
