Yeah, he is the guy that runs that element35 site. Pure profit (minus tax and shipping cost) for him with all the EVGA Bucks he has.

I know and all feedback are for private listings. He has left a lot more feedback than he has received. Makes you wonder if he asks the buyer not to leave feedback?

As a general rule I stay away from scalpers and have never purchased from one. However, to me it's about margins. If it's low enough, I don't think it encourages scalpers in the future and so in theory I wouldn't have a problem buying from one. That's exactly what happened a few days ago. I found a sealed 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra on ebay from someone who is like 10 mins from me and messaged them asking if they'd take less in cash or Venmo and meet. By the time they responded they said they had already sold it for $1550 in person. If you factor in taxes and shipping buying from EVGA, whoever bought it got a good deal as the total cost would be pretty close.
 
I was bummed I missed out until the next day, when I found a sealed 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra Hydrocopper - my 1st preference of card!! - also on ebay, from someone who bought directly from EVGA but doesn't have a custom loop and is 15 mins away. I messaged them, we shared contact info and I offered $1700 in person and they accepted. If I were to buy from EVGA, with Virginia taxes and shipping, that's probably a little over $1600? So I'm getting one for less than $100 over MSRP. I violated my scalper rule but for that low a price and given that I have a build in progress and likely far away on the 3080Ti FTW3 Ultra HC queue, I can deal.
 
Based on the prices I've been seeing over the months on ebay, scalpers are having a harder and harder time offloading cards so they're having to take less. If you're nowhere near the queue and having a tough time waiting, I'd recommend checking for local listings and offering cash or Venmo/Paypal/etc and local pickup. The seller avoids ebay fees which is good for them and you might be able to grab a card for relatively little over MSRP months in advance of the queue. As always, make sure to meet at a local police station!

not true bradsour and breden77 get the card for almost free from evga.com because people are using their associate code then they sell the card on ebay
 
they will clear 1500 profit on that card at that price

Let hope for drop today 

what's the point of a drop? every time there is a drop- the queue moves. then I look at my position, I have moved down as many spots as there were emails sent. since 7/12 there have been 41 emails reported. I was at spot #98. now I am at spot #153 as of 6:57PST on 7/21/2021. I know I was at spot #117 cause halo master chief and all that. I am just bitter cause the literal goal post is moving every time emails go out

Wow nothing again today huh. This is getting ridiculous. There are hardly ever drops any more and when they do it's like 10 cards. Shouldn't we be seeing more cards available as time goes on, not less? Such a bummer. I really thought we'd be much farther along at this point. I just want to get a card to play games and we have people in the queue scalping their cards that they got for free.

You can't play games with the 3090 of your signature? lol.. what's going on there?
