dang gg. ima have to end up buying a water cooling kit as well.
I feel bad for people who have been waiting for 3080s since last year, so I can't complain with the extra work and cost. My 3070 ti will go to the living room tv computer and I have a 3060 xc as a backup.

Sorry for the noob question that kit looks sexy though.
If you don't mind the price and you like it, go for it. I would personally piece a loop together myself.
I'd second kram36 on that, but for what it's worth my loop is essentially one of the older EKWB kits with an additional block and fittings for my GPU. That is to say, it's a viable strategy if a bit more expensive than parting it out yourself. Also I'm not sure if that's enough radiator for the 3080 but don't quote me on that. You'd need to buy additional fittings for the GPU though. You'd need to find the inner diameter (ID) and outer diameter (OD) of the tubing used and match that with a couple of new compression fittings. Any brand would do, as long as it's a standard G1/4 water cooling fitting and isn't made of Aluminum. Whichever way you'd go, I'd also recommend including a drain valve in your list; you can find designs online but you essentially want a t-splitter in the lowest part of your loop with one end going to a plugged valve. That makes it a lot easier to maintain your loop in the long run.

Back when they opened the queue last year, how often did they do drops to push the queue? I heard drops for the hc cards were farther apart like 3 weeks in between.

Oh wow, I didn't expect anyone to be even mildly interested, much less a bunch of people within minutes. I want either 3080 HC, don't care if it's xc3 of ftw, and yeah I have the pre-fab xc3 3080 hybrid (10G-P5-3888-KR bought through evga) I can trade. It's used for a few months now though not very much as I haven't had much time for gaming. With my 6:45 PM queue I honestly don't think I'll get a notify until the 4080 is out and I'm a diehard evga HC loyalist. The hybrid cooler is great for temps but it's so puny at 120x240 next to my 360x360 extreme overkill radiator. Plus I'm waiting for a HC to route the 360x360 through the wall into the garage for 100% silence. In my last house I went directly through the wall to an external thermally controlled venting box I built. So much work, but ZERO sound and ice cold temps. Anyway, I don't want to clutter up this thread so shoot me a pm if you're interested. Appreciate the community! edit: located in AZ
