It sure would be nice to see it keep rolling but we're in the neighborhood of already 50+ FTW3s reported having gone out today based on the times listed here so far. Given the size of other drops I'm not holding out much hope how long supplies will last.

You can certainly enter the 3080 Step-Up queue if/when you have a 3070ti. Whether or not it will ever end up being fulfilled is kind of another matter.

Yes but you are entering another queue and not sure how quickly that moves:
EVGA - Support - Step-Up® Program
the nice part is you can keep using your 3070ti till one day when it pops and if the step up comes after the 40 series you may even get moved to a different card so no down side. when The ftw 3 3070ti has its 35% markup you may as well step up as its so close to the 3080

Thanks! For some reason I just thought it was if new cards came out right after you bought one. I will definitely get in the queue to step up once my time comes, that makes the 799 price easier to stomach :)

Question about the step up. I just got my 3070ti for 607 after taxes and shipping because of the spin the wheel discount. Do I have to pay the difference between what I paid and the 3080 or do I pay the difference in MSRP?

yep you would have to pay the difference between 890. Since you were lucky enough to get a wheel spin and a huge discount I'd just keep the 3070ti at that price
