I just recently did a step-up from a 1070 to the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING, 08G-P4-6181-KR, 8GB GDDR5X, ACX 3.0 & LED. I see the light up logo has a screw on the top and both sides of the logo, tried a tiny allen wrench but couldn't get them to budge. Can this be removed and replaced with a custom plate that has different text/graphics that light up?

To my knowledge this isn't possible but you could ask EVGA tech support.

maybe a ftw dt cooler?
If I'm not mistaken, the PCB's are different, and the GTX 1080 Gaming lacks the RGB controller on the PCB. Best would be what RJ recommended up there, contact EVGA support directly to see what they may say to you. https://www.evga.com/support/ticket/support.aspx

Here was their response: Good Morning Anthony,
They are not supposed to be removed and unfortunately we cannot recommend that you do it since it can cause minor damage to the shroud. However, you're more than welcome to attempt to remove them, this will not void the warranty but if you need to RMA your video card in the future, there might be a small repair fee for changing the shroud of your video card.

EVGA I'm now inquiring what specific tool is needed to remove those screws, since the alan wrench I have wouldn't move those things
