im tryingg to figure wich would be beter for my evga p55 ftw 200 mother board.
  1. OCZ Technology 240 GB RevoDrive X2
  2. OCZ Technology 240 GB Vertex 2
i know the revo dirve dosent suport x2 my question wich would provide good boot up speeds with ease of use.  im curntly ussing a mecanical and i run win 7 ultimate 64bit.  i only play 3 games reay wich are.
  • Everquest 2
  • Final Fantasy XIV Online
  • Second Life

    I have the first gen. revo 120 for my OS and the second gen. is faster, but I'm sure the vertex or whatever like it is going to be a better value for you, you can run 2 in a raid 0 for even faster speeds. That way you are keeping the MB slots open for something else as well.

    Revodrives do not support TRIM, something to keep in mind.
     
    I'd go with the Vertex 2.

    Revodrives do not support TRIM, something to keep in mind.

    I'd go with the Vertex 2.

    Yah, it's my understanding that the sandforce controller on the Revo does a really good job of managing garbage files without TRIM. I think to be a little more concise TRIM does not support raids, which is what Revo's are.

    yeah know revo dosent suport trim  and the vertexx dose so wasnt sshure wich be best
