Hello,

I just build my new computer and when I turn on the computer, it turns on fine, but it shows nothing on the monitor. Any tips?

Here are the specs: pcpartpicker.com/p/B2TzdC

Update the bios to the latest version if you haven't already.

Have you tried all available outputs on the gpu that are compatible with your monitor? Have you tried testing the card in another system to verify it even works?

I have tried an HDMI and a DVI. I don't have another machine to try the card on. Also, I did turn the computer on and look inside and the fans do move on the card so the card is working, it just doesn't display anything.

Ok. Well either the gpu outputs don't work, the gpu itself is dead, the pci-e slot on the board is broke, you don't have the card fully seated to the motherboard, you don't have the 8-pin power cable that goes to the gpu plugged in, or the motherboard needs a bios update.

I suggest you take the card to your local computer repair shop to see if they can get the card to work on one of their systems. If the card works on one of their system then you can start looking at your board. To update the bios on your board you would need to run a older video card such as a 600 series or lower that doesn't use a uefi vbios, this should allow you to get a picture and to update the motherboard bios.

Where can I go to get my computer looked at that is reliable. For example, would Fry's be better then OfficeMax?

Fry's would be better than officemax. I would be looking for a mom & pop shop that does computers.
