Hey guys,
when I was going through website of my local shop with LC stuff I found waterblock for second version of GTX 680 PCB..?
Do you know anything about it?
I'm pretty sad now because I prefer old way for PSU connectors and this thing is included on new PCB, but I already waiting to get mine 680's from EVGA.
I thought about try to solder two separately connectors but on picture below I see 1 more difference in PCB (not 5th phase), I'm pretty sure this is caused by change in PSU connectors...

I tried to find more info on the internet but I found nothing about it.

    Don't think so.
Aquacomputer says this is second type of reference PCB,
can't link it so use google: aquagraFX for GTX 680 type 2 G1/4

The second is absolutely a custom pcb.  The 680 from Nvidia has 2 6pin connections for power, the second in the pics shows an 8 and a 6. Also they are not stacked as the reference pcb is.

So pretty big company doesn't know what saying?
    It's just bad naming?

Maybe a EVGA employee can tell us something about it?

is the page OP is referring to.  I have yet to hear of a 2nd "reference" 680 PCB design.  That bottom one looks quite custom to me.

it may be referring to that there is a non-reference card that will fit with that waterblock, also there may be a question of who's "reference" it's referring too, if a company decides to use the second PCB in all their GTX 680 and not use the Nvidia one, that might be misunderstood to be "reference".

It is a reference gtx680 pcb for partners who's cooler design doesn't work with the stacked power connectors. Think gigabyte windforce and msi twin frozr.

Just FYI (which you probably know)

If the design of this PCB was from Nvidia directly, then it is reference.  If it is designed by an AIB partner, then it is NON reference or custom.
I am not sure whether or not Nvidia provided a second reference design for partners who wanted the side by side power connectors to provide easier solutions for modded coolers but I doubt it.

"Refrenzlayout" in those pics may simply refer to such custom PCB (and others similar) as "for your reference"

as Johnny_Utah says, the true "REFERENCE design of PCB" comes only from nvidia. if it wasn't released by nvidia then it's not an official reference model of PCB while it still could be a "base/reference" design for some partner company.

First PCB is marked as "Refrenzlayout" and it's not custom for sure.
So if second is marked as "Refrenzlayout" too with description "typ 2" it's looking clear to me that's second reference PCB, directly from nvidia.
It's not marked as branded one.

Before series 600 nvidia never changed PCB after release?

Dang that is different. Here is the stock one so people can look at the differences. That one you have has more capacitors

so what are we looking at?

can anybody find the listing of "reference layouts" of nvidia reference PCB in 600 series on nvidia website?
something is not right. I still believe the pics linked by pociej are not nvidia reference layouts...
