magnumsrule: very strange try to re-install DOT NET redistributable from Microsoft or try to elevate program privileges or disable anti-viruses or anything that may block it.
The program just does an http post to upload the image.
Jedi-Ritter: please, next time, link the online image for a valid score. Oh and why don't you overclock the cards? they can do pretty well at 900/2200 @ 1.113v ! (Use msi afterburner or evga precision and set some aggressive fan profiles)

I think I uncovered a small bug with your benchmark. Sorry if this was already reported somewhere:

Scenario Description:
Benchmark open and running on "normal"

Action Inducing the malfunction:
Closing the Window

Expected outcome:
Benchmark stops, all processes clean-up

Actual outcome:
Program window closes properly.
Two "nvbench.exe *32" processes remain running.
CPUs and GPUs are still exhibiting active utilization.

Interesting. May have to try sometime with 580 SLI and Quad 295s.

Any plans for ATI(AMD) support? That would be truly intriguing.

Sure, but it would be interesting to be able to do dual 6970s and dual 295s.

Indeed, but the results would not be comparable to these.
So an "ATI Leaderboard" should be set.

ROTFL :)

In ultra light mode scores are NOT valid.

You must fully perform a "Normal" mode, smarty!

Ah, I did not know that :P

I did test the OC in OC scanner and it was stable so next time I go to my office I will re run the test

You did not mention anywhere about having to run it in normal mode though

Re:New benchmark: NVBench! 2011/11/03 20:37:42 (permalink)
You're right :) My bad..

Ultra-Light is for very slow systems (under 100 points) and for testing pure speed.
At "Normal" setting stability sets in.

For very high scores, to check stability, you should run Heavy or Infinite but that takes hours :)

Anyhow, even if a card can bel stable for this test, I noticed some DirectX11 programs/games stress it even further (like Heaven benchmark and Battlefield 3)
That's mainly because this program doesn't use the card memory.

By the way.. with 4 overclocked GTX 580 (1+ghz), the maximum score should be about 1100-1110 :|

Me too.. I really wonder what can be the problem on your system :(
After the run, my program just uploads the window screenshot to techpowerup and it does that using a normal dot.net call...

I wonder what your systems have in common.. I really don't know how to debug this if I can't reproduce it.

Idk, but I'm leaving now. I'll be back at home Tuesday, and I'll be more than happy to check into my log files, see what happened, etc. And I will try it again, and see how consistent the problem is.
