My colleague let the Hardware Canucks forums in on this juicy bit of details and I wanted to make sure that this community wasn't left out. The only difference is that there are a few other chipsets coming to market that support USB 3.0.

Here's their post.

I can pass some inside information to HWC regarding the new USB 3.0 internal connector. As of last year HAF X was the first case with USB 3.0, but of course the only solution was an external connector. Now with the P67 chipset, Cooler Master has had early access to the proper internal pin specifications. Cooler Master chassis will be the first in the market to have a full line of native USB 3.0 support. No more clumsy stretching an extension cable. While other manufacturers are only now including these USB 3.0 updates that only support rear backplates, CM will have the best solution brought to market on time for the P67 sandybridge B3 refresh.

This Q2 2011, Cooler Master will bring true USB 3.0 i/o support to all newly released chassis. This includes the new Storm mid tower, the new Silent M and others. In every Cooler Master case where USB 3.0 is an available feature, Cooler Master will have the internal connector with support for 1 x or 2 x ports. Expect supply of the new chassis to arrive beginning April, without a noticeable price increase.

Q2 will also bring USB 3.0 Internal to:
- 3 of the HAF series chassis
- A separate 5.25" 2 port adapter for all other chassis will be available from the CM store

You can let your friends know that CM will bring tech to the market first. But, if you have an AMD or non P67 type chipset, you won't be able to take advantage of our I/O.

Doesnt the Asus p8p67 deluxe take care of this problem ? It has a plug on the mobo and a usb 3.0 box that attaches to the case.

Now if we can get some onboard USB 3.0 & motherboard headers.
In case you dont like Cooler Master cases: This $23(Newegg)Silverstone FP36 Drive Bay Adapter has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the front and can hold 2 Solid State Drives. 2x 3' of USB cable means wire management in large cases is easy enough. my case is 25"x25"x9". Comes with rubber grometted PCI bracket for routing cables from I/O panel into the case. You can of course run the cables through the watercooling case holes as well.

        Omg you're right.

The P8P67 Deluxe DOES come with an onboard USB 3.0 header and a really freakin nice front panel BOX w/ sleeved header cable... enclosed, not an open drive bay adapter but a BOX.

Not to mention the other features of the board as it has some great features but it has only 1 16x pci slot.

I'm wondering what the included Cooler Master USB 3.0 case panels will look like...

That board is awesome.. And you can find the adapter box for the 3.0 box at microcenter and other various places.
